Life is Good came out in 2012.... The next album was Nasir (that trash with Ye) in 2018.... The next after THAT... King's Disease in 2020... From 2012 to 2019, that's 1 hot album every 7 year avg... If we calling N*gger and Hip Hop is Dead and Streets Diciple in there, we talking 2002 since God's Son, when he had another great album... That's 2 in 18 years

I think they saying this whole Hit Boy run is the comeback... Cause once again, there was a half a decade people forgot Nas could do this... Now with Hit Boy, it's been 5 for 5 in 3 years... That's a damn comeback
Come back from what? From one bad album?

And that's the GREATEST come back in rap history. It's silly.

This is Nas just playing. there is no stakes in all this.

Nas was already seen as a veteran and his skills respected universally.

I didn't write the article breh but yes... One bad album will get you out of here... Nas dropped 3 albums at the start of his career, then Nastradamus, and nikkas forgot he existed all the sudden. Jay had zero issues getting off that 1 hot album every 10 year avg, and everyone from NYC to Germany was fully behind it too.. Got dudes in here calling Stillmatic the comeback like he didn't drop 3 great albums before Nastradamus...

So what you think of 1 hot album from 2002 to 2019 is going to do for you? Speaking of Jay... They said 4:44 was his comeback album like American Gangster wasn't 2 albums ago... But he dropped BP3 and Magna Carta and was seen as falling off...

That's hip-hop... Drop a dud and nikkas gonna dismiss you like you been doing it for 20 years... ESPECIALLY after a break

It was as dumb as this. Both these dudes career highlights are behind them.

There is no failing off or come back, and especially not the greatest come back in history of the genre.

It's not even a comeback. Man is filthy rich and now has the time to pursue his personal interest without having to worry about if it sells or not.

He's really just making all those filthy rich rappers who claimed they dumbed down their style to get rich look bad.

this. dude just making the music he wants and enjoying life.

Streets Disciple went platinum and holds an 80% Metacritic Score.

Hip Hop Is Dead is Nas second biggest first week sales of his career, debuted at number 1 and went platinum. It holds an 80% metacritic rating and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Album

Untitled debuted at number 1 and went Gold. It holds a 73% metacritic score and was nominated for 2 Grammys.

By what metric are you saying that Nas went 10 years and 3 albums (not including Distant Relatives) without a great album? If your only citing your own opinion you certainly have a right to that. But by no other means do you have an argument that Gods Son was Nas last great album, or even his last GOOD album.

Rank Nas albums and tell me where you put those. If Jay Z said his four albums only contained ONE hot album, and nobody really calls it cap. Then what you think people generally think of those three albums. Not nerds on metacritic. Not sales when these hit boy albums been way more critically acclaimed but haven’t sold shyt

Ain’t a Hit-Boy/Nas album that I’d put below those three. And that was my point. What the general public thinks. When THEY say Nas is back, that is exactly what they refer to

No it's not like you thought even if you capitalize it... Let's try this again

Other people are saying it... And The Coli can't figure out how it's possible that this is a comeback album....

So what I did is explain exactly why THEIR LINE OF THINKING has lead them to that conclusion.. The general consensus is that Nas falls off on certain albums then brings it back.. I know this because OTHER PEOPLE keep saying it and agreeing with it and posting articles and tweets about it and writing up stories to reflect that.... Not myself... them

And that is the reason why they say he is currently having one... Not cause reviews... Not cause sales... But cause those other albums don't measure up to his best ones.. argue all you want if you do or not.. But that is the answer to the question of why people are saying it's a comeback
