I don't know, I'd be cautious to condemn him before hearing his reasons, maybe he didn't think that was a big deal anymore. I don't really care that he did the advert, it's not gonna make me drink, I guess it helps the brand of the people drinking, it's illegal for minors to drink anyway so he can't held be responsible for that.
What were his reasons for not doing the Coors ad? Did he explicitly say he would never advertise any alcohol brand?
And wouldn't it be hypocritical to rap about Hennessy, perform at his shows with Henny, and then refuse to receive compensation from the company for advertising?

has nothing to do with him being responsible for anyone drinking. I believe people change too. But the fact that he did that and never addressed it is corny to me. I also dont respect him making "these our your heros" record then saing he'll smack someone in defense of gwenyth paltrow. He a fukk nikka

So u Nas stans are saying its ten years people change?I'm confused I thought u matured as u get older. :dahell: Nas @ 28 know better than Nas @ 42 :wtf: Nas stand back then was saying it was like selling poison to the youth. Now at 42 it's cool. Definition of a hypocrite

People change over time. He was rapping about it from the start.:manny:

Not to my knowledge, but a nikka as outspoken as him should say it himself. But they waiving passes that shouldnt be waived.

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have a problem answering if he was asked. He's mentioned the brand forever.

That's not being a hypocrite. I don't think yall know what words mean.

A hypocrite means saying one thing and doing another.

He had a stance for himself earlier and changed his mind later. He's not holding somebody to a standard he doesn't hold himself to. He had a stance and changed his mind.

That's like me saying I don't like peas and then later saying I do like peas. That doesn't make me a hypocrite.
No, just stop it. The shyt is the definition of hypocritical. He didn't just say that he didn't like alcohol. He took a stance as saying that he was above being an artist that would promote alcohol. He completely go back on that stance. It's not about him changing his mind. He was just being full of shyt. The truth is, Nas was never the holier than thou righteous type cat that he and his fans have always painted him to be. He was never above promoting alcohol or working for big corporations. That was a fake ass stance he took on that MTV Diary shyt.

What did he say specifically? I've never seen the episode.
