Damn Nas said he beat somebody up for a white bytch saying nikka. Now this. Jay supporting racist ass barney's. 50 cent dissing every black person since Adam and Eve yet letting some ray liotta looking cave bytch racially insult him and then performing on her show. What the fukk is going on in New York?

Fairly certain Nas was just fukking around in that interview about Paltrow.

Bring it On

ring a bell?? :usure:

Like i said if Jay is spitting republican raps than 99% of rappers are doing it

The only reason u dnt classify Jay's raps on RD as republican is cuz Jay Z wasnt too rich back then but now that the black man got all that money u like.."nonono he c00ning"

Fckoutta here :camby:
He wasn't obsessed with it during that album yet once he got money he went full on c00n with his republican raps and biting biggie. :camby:

Still better than his albums afterward when he went full on c00n.
How??? In RD he was braggin about his money and being more thorough and richer than nikkaz

After that as he started getting legal money his object of bragging changed because he had more money but he still bragged the same amount

Like I said u dnt have a problem with RD cuz subconsiously u hate when a black man celebrates with too much money...u like ur blacks to stay at the bottom of the barrel...which is why ur pretty much a c00n :scusthov:

Its not as in extreme levels as T.I but Nas is clearly playing the PC game. Those so called "saviors of hip hop" are the ones to watch for. He'll jump on Hidden Colors, He'll preach that "We need to save hip hop from Commercialism" shyt to rile up his base and "real fans" but yet he'll cosign these bullshyt acts to keep his pockets going.

Thats always been somewhat of a strawman perception, because even when he was on his miltant phase he did emphasize he tried to distinguish quality music from wack and not necessarily commercial vs underground.

I just think giving advice to a white act doesnt necessairly mean they are saying they are saviors of Hip Hop either

I tried to tell yall nikkas about nas' c00nin before, but nikkaz shouted me down for callin out the truth.

These are your heroes :pachaha:

Saying that they met a person and seemed to be aware of Hip Hop and cool around them isnt c00ning and co-signing what they do. In fact the whole point of the question that was posed to Nas was what do you think she has to do to withstand backlash and is answer was grow more authentically as an artist and be more thickskinned.

Thats different than saying "yeah all this booty shaking is the real and black women are just jealous of her and that's typical of them" which is what Clifford the informant was saying

Fairly certain Nas was just fukking around in that interview about Paltrow.

Maybe he doesn't see the word nikka as something sacred or to be protected, I would agree with him there. Especially in the case of people mad at her for repeating the shyt from a rap song.

Nas said:
I wanna make the word easy on muthafukkas’ ears,” he explained. “You see how white boys ain’t mad at ‘cracker’ ’cause it don’t have the same [sting] as ‘******’? I want ‘******’ to have less meaning [than] ‘cracker.’ With all the bullsh– that’s going on in the world, racism is at its peak. I wanna do the sh– that’s not being done. I wanna be the artist who ain’t out. I wanna make the music I wanna hear.

We’re taking power [away] from the word,” he added. “No disrespect to none of them who were part of the civil-rights movement, but some of my n—as in the streets don’t know who [civil-rights activist] Medgar Evers was. I love Medgar Evers, but some of the n—as in the streets don’t know Medgar Evers, they know who Nas is. And to my older people who don’t now who Nas is and who don’t know what a street disciple is, stay outta this mutha—-in’ conversation. We’ll talk to you when we’re ready. Right now, we’re on a whole new movement. We’re taking power [away] from that word.

I got what he meant.

Problem is any time you have a perspective that doesn't fit in the stereotypical "black box" on this board nikkas wanna get to c00n calling and researching slavery just so they can add more words to their vocabulary to use against black folk....

I also remember him saying something around the release of untitled about how a generation from now "nikka" will even be further removed from it's origins and how race will be less of an issue between people of different cultures being brought up on Hip Hop. Everybody will be "nikkas" in a sense, hence the "Be a nikka too" record that didn't make the album.

Seems like a lot of people kinda missed the point and just celebrated "untitled" for being pro-black without catching some of the more progressive ideas being laid down.

I just think situations like the Paltrow shyt make good ammo for people to shyt on some of the Nas stans who try and hold him to ideals that he doesn't even rock with.

Well that certainly was alluding to the interview when he talked about how some people will or wont be offended by the context of how non black people use the term, but I think its the surely in jest comment he made about fukking up someone who tries to ride against Gwyenth. I still think that was a bad idea for him to do cause you know how people start blowing shyt out of proportion.

But yeah Untitled was a mixture of views about the word while trying to be also about pro-black things, which is why the direction and theme may have confused people and fell on deaf ears. I think its a good album still and a key one in his catalogue but the criticism about the albums direction along with HHID is a fair one
