Classic introShould have spit a verse on that intro beat.
But this is a dope album.

I think you’re overstating how often this happened though. They did always get an advance reviewer copy, but I think it was rare that the retail version of the album was any different. All I’m saying is the magazine rarely reviewed a finalised album, they usually had industry advance/promo/sampler type versions from what I’ve read in the past. So based on whatever they were given they could have been justified in giving it 4.5. Or maybe they were just a bit too gung ho with it because it was a Nas album and gave it the extra half. These days, I think the album deserves a 4 but back then I was a bit disappointed, would have said 3.5 if you asked me.
similar to Vol. 1 for Jay
FOH I member ppl being pretty disappointed. give a fukk bout a Source review...shyt had some basura on there, 3/5 album
Does the review mention Dr Knockboots? I can’t remember which songs were added but it’s a FACT that magazines would get albums months in advance to do reviews and it’s KNOWN that the versions of I Am and Murda Muzik were heavily bootlegged and the reviews were based on the originals sent to the magazines not the retail albums.
Sounds like almost EVERY Nas album.![]()
