I dont know if Nas is or was a POS- but unprofessional when he was young, I can see that.
I was at a conference at Hampton U when I was a freshman and people from Columbia records was there and I asked the panel why yall dont push Nas the way yall do other artists (this was around Illmatic)

and they basically said- its hard to promote an artist who- shows up late to interviews, wont engage with the interviewer, dont show up for other commitments, bring a posse of rowdy dudes around etc

needless to say I sat down and felt dumb

Basically Nas was too street and didn’t play the game like they wanted. He was an introvert. That’s what they signed up for when they signed him.

If anyone even watch the video, though I don’t blame you if you didn’t, he barely even mentions anything about what happened, just that Shy got dropped and was mad as Nas over some thing with Foxy. That’s it. You can read into it however you want but there really ain’t much to go by.
