From my understanding. Death Of Escobar was originally supposed to be what ended up as Gods Son. Nas said in an interview with Allhiphop.com around 02 that he was planning to release only three more albums and then retire. Those album titles were Death Of Escobar/Nastalgia/Nas Writes No More.

Death Of Escobar was supposed to be album where Nas went crazy on the industry and dissed everybody. After his mother passed he calmed down and changed the direction of the album.


They may have repurposed the title to include unreleased songs and outtakes, and then decided to include actual songs instead of freestyles and finally settled on what became Lost Tapes.

nas "went crazy" because he was dissing hot 97 and industry people and jayz. these are the songs jungle said nas deleted so nobody could ever hear them

the nastalgia and nas writes no more are fake albums from the toxic nas forum

They would get completed advance albums, which mostly ended up being shelved. This was a time where magazines would get the album, review it, and by the time the album came out, things were changed, song order, and songs omitted, or switched up.

I'm still tryna make sure I have every song from the NasDaq/Dow Jones sessions. And has anyone ever heard the rumored "Polo & Guess" track by Nas & AZ?

i was the one who uploaded the original death of escobar tracks online back in 2000; also a sh!tload of mixtapes like clue, slay etc.

i provided him the tracklist and cdqs. someone else provided the album review scan though.

just goin by nas first 3 albums none of them had a title track so its possible its just a title not a track

I wouldn't say Nastalgia & Nas Writes No More are fake albums, just projected album titles...from back when he was talking about only doing a certain number of albums before wrapping it up with Nas Writes No More as @Ziggy pointed out. I do agree in that since they never had sessions, they don't count. However, Hip-Hop Is Dead does fit the theme of what a Nastalgia album would be, doesn't it?

What's the toxic Nas forum? Is it still up? Never been there. I've only been SOHH since 98, and here when it shifted...and occasionly PhillyFlava, AllHipHop, CormegaSite, Wu-Corp, InfamousStores.

they are fake breh. made up album titles posted on nas forum. they have no legitimacy.


they come from the toxic forum i mentioned which was nas own forums for i am nastradamus and stillmatic. worst forums ever.

many people have fond memories but its just nostalgia lol. you had mods @vampire xtc making up lies to destroy nas legacy and using the forum for clout leverage claiming to have songs. same for posters @Pop123

my sole purpose on the internet is to provide factual information; posters like lying and standing on phony squares

If you are talking about the NaS bbs forums nikka kill yourself that was the illest forum on the net for like a decade before it closed.

No real nikka would ever say those forums toxic those forums were the truth. But they were for real nikkas only and you look unfamiliar.
