KD3 was the highest acclaimed rap album of 2022. Surpassing Mr Morale.

Them albums are INDEED all that

out of like 10 reviews:skip:

mr. Morale rated the same with almost 30 reviews:skip:

theyre good albums

but nothing about them albums is important to esco catalog or pushes his catalog further into amazing territory

you can take those albums out of his catalog and dont nothing change

:whoa::whoa::whoa:you my dawg tho

Cool ..... can your mans meet that lowered bar in 21yrs at minimum?
An "ain't all that" album that at least makes some noise .

In hip hop drastic fall offs is the norm. Too many examples to name

Come back n make that thread. Until then ...NO

Drake should have let a sleeping dog lie
Truth be told Kendrick last album ain't shake shyt

Kendrick been had the crown lol

He’s going to surpass Nas and Jay too.
kendrick had it for moments around TPAB but i think drake has been running with it for a few years now. kendrick has it right now but i'm saying he can take it and run with it like drake did.

and no he's not going to surpass jay and nas. not close imo.

So you think it's just happenstance all these old rappers wanna get back in the studio?

The quality of these albums and their reception inspired certified legends.

Old negro rapping is no longer automatic side eye.

Don't underestimate the impact of those albums

Disagree. Drake music is trash.

He just had the commercial success. That’s it.

i cant say for certain that in 21 years kendrick will atill put out quality music cause i’m not a time traveler

but what i can say is this

i dont know of any other rapper/artist that cares about the craft more than kendrick. if kendrick is still putting out projects at 50 i wouldnt be surprised if he is still putting out amazing quality.

i enjoy the KD/Magic series but they dont do anything for his catalog imo.

both in my top 3. but after this album i really expect kendrick to be looked at a rare species if i’m being honest
he’s in a crazy space right now

:wtf: i respect your opinion on music but this is crazy talk. a trilogy that received nothing but praises in hip-hop didn't do anything for nas catalogue? so we just setting limits to where a catalogue matters?

dropping a relevant trilogy that received nothing but praises will always matter, especially after 30 years in hip-hop.

i’m talking about the actual music.
not the impact/legacy/influence and all that other shyt that doesnt make the music sound better

Like its cool that nas still putting out good projects 30 years after his introduction into the game but that doesnt make the albums/music automatically better

both those series are good. i go thru those albums for a week every few months or so cause i love hearing nas on modern production and he sounds comfortable

but i dont even think i can pick 5 songs from all 6 albums that i would put in a top 50 esco list
