Kendrick the Nas of this era

He prob top 5 after the Super Bowl performance :francis:
Amongst hardcore hip hop heads I think Kendrick is consensus top 10. I’m not sure if anybody is breaking through the Pac/nas/Jay/Big door in a real way for another 10-15 years or so. That 5th spot is usually a Rakim or Kane LL 80s legends and deservedly so

Eat dikk Mike the Dyke..
I know my sources and Nas was in trouble and had crazy debts to settle..in 2008 Nas was not a multi millionaire, he was good but nothing like he is now!
Now kindly put my nice fat long cock back inside your mouth and let it glide until that fresh juice squeezes down your moist throat.

Childish tantrums can never be confused with facts dikkhead.

The evidence says you're still full of shyt.

I should disregard official documents my eyes saw and go with your fantasy football bullshyt.

Foh ...and take your horse with you

Just the Def jam deal alone made him a multi millionaire 🤦🏾‍♂️

Loud n Wrong is a weird sm phenomenon

Giving Anthony Saleh credit for everything positive in Nas career is getting out of hand.

Nas was gonna get blackballed from touring till Anthony saved the day🤔😒 man you made that shyt up. Lauryn Hill ain't been blackballed. These rappers that can't do shows without the club being shot up ain't been blackballed. But nasir was in danger? Come on with the fairytales.

Furthermore, Nas has a team of "managers" With each person handling different areas. Anthony is not running the whole show. N I don't know how much he's still actively involved in Nas day to day business affairs.

I believe Anthony is also managing a Horowitz hedge fund.

There's only so much work one man can do

From 2009 to 2012, Nas’ personal and financial lives were on public display. The rapper was juggling a divorce, tax issues, and a new album to create, but Saleh served as the main source of support while Nas put the financial pieces of his life back together. Following Nas’ 11th album, Life Is Good, Saleh took it upon himself to help rebuild and rebrand Nas’ commitment to his fans (and concert promoters), as well as negotiate multi-million dollar endorsement deals with Hennessy and Sprite.

Many things have been exaggerated. We all know he had tax problems. But I never heard of him being near bankruptcy or almost getting blackballed from touring.

Yeah Kendrick is boutta have the GOAT resume. Zero blemishes on his jacket and on the verge of another level of stardom following this superbowl performance.

If the next album is a classic it's a wrap
It's gonna be called a classic even if it isn't. When u add up longevity. Catalog. Influence. Let's not even mention the loosies and unreleased shyt. Son ain't fukkin wit Nas and Jay. Or Pac for that matter. nikka prolly might crack top 8.

I was waiting for someone to mention Ben Horowitz. He's the real power player Nas hooked up with and I think got him involved with his new team of Saleh, Bitbetter and Murthy.
@Ziggiy who is The G Code and what does he do?

No one’s giving Anthony Saleh ALL the credit for everything positive in Nas career. But Nas HIMSELF gives Anthony major credit across multiple songs and interviews and its documented that Anthony had a major hand in helping Nas get his BUSINESS AFFAIRS in order after he was frustrated with who was handling that aspect of his career after he and Steve Stoute split for good. Nas himself said he hated touring and wasn’t taking it seriously the first part of his career but that he realized it wasn’t fair to the fans so tightened up. I wouldn’t go so far to say he was going to be “blackballed” from touring but basically Anthony helped Nas “reset” his reputation as a touring artist during the Illmatic 20th anniversary tour, which was so successful it actually went on longer than Nas had planned, he was getting STUPID amounts of money for that tour and would even turn down some offers and the venues would double their offer and Nas basically had no choice but to agree. Anthony set that off but it was up to Nas to make those shows exciting and memorable for the fans and he delivered in spades.

There’s no shame or harm in giving credit where its due. Anthony isn’t writing Nas rhymes, putting the albums together, picking beats, hitting the stages, none of that. Anthony basically helped Nas unlock his potential as a businessman by helping him partner with companies who were true fans and would take Nas’s ideas seriously and not just use him as a glorified figurehead. That deal with Hennessy wasn’t just a branding deal it led to this

Which was Nas idea.

Anthony does what a great manager is supposed to do, finds opportunities for Nas and the other artists he manages to maximize their talents to their highest potentials.

@Ziggiy who is The G Code and what does he do?

G Code helps Nas link up with artists (not just rappers, but singers, art directors, musicians) who would work well with him. He has his ear to whats hot and whose truly talented and could create something special with Nas. G Code helped Nas link up with Fivio Foreign, Durk, and Blxst from the first two Kings Disease albums. I think he also recommended the lady who designed KD1’s album art. G Code basically helped executive produce the first two KD albums.
