It didnt even hint it unless Obito was the only Uchiha in the village at that time, not mention Tobi was an adult while he was stylin on the 4th/controlling the 9tails. Im also pretty sure Kakashi didnt get his namesake immediately after obtaining the sharingan.

Well now that we know about Izanagi it's not impossible for him to escape certain death like he did in the fight against Konan. He could've triggered it while the rocks were falling just like he triggered his sharingan.That would've sealed one of his eyes and explains the placement of the eye hole in his mask up until the rinnegan install.

The part that's still unbelievable for me is the fight against the 4th. Obito would've known all of those techniques, judging by how much all of the konoha students know about their teacher's techniques including the secret/forbidden ones, and wouldn't have been surprised by how fast Minato was.

I really hope it's not Obito, but reading that one...failed to protect Rin...Tobito's heel turn could be rage at her dying and his hating on Kak just there might be based there too. So you're telling me that Obito had 3 eyes then? He'd have used the only eye he had left for that. Which means no space-time dojutsu for him.

Also, remember that old maxim, "Just because I've taught you everything you know, doesn't mean I've taught you everything I know?" Minato probably never had reason to show them Hiraishin level 2 (probably never had reason to, due to how feared he was and it seeming like more of a one-on-one technique). Remember, Naruto didn't really know anything about Senjutsu until Fukusaku told him, not Jiraiya.
