The one dark skinned person on the whole show and his nickname is Blackie.

I would have slightly understood if this was an actual person, and his actual nickname was Blackie. Then I could say well they are just sharing the story.

But then I do my research and find out there was no Blackie, so I say again.

Damn them for naming the one clearly African heritage brother on the show "Blackie"...

Blackie was not a real nickname of anybody associated with Pablo Escobar.

The person he's supposed to be potraying, was actually nicknamed Tyson because he looked like Mike Tyson.

Again I say fukk then for having one Afro-Latino on the show and giving him the nickname Blackie.

I don't get it. Would "Black" be better?

And there were other afro Latinos in the show. Mainly the two cops that worked with Carrillo

I thought blackie was a real guy

Edit: I could have sworn there was a guy named "blackie" and I read it somewhere but now I can't find it. You're right it's kinda weird that they wrote a fictional character named blackie. And it's not like it was the Spanish version; using the direct English term blackie sounds like they got it from watching some anerican plantation movie from the 30s.
