I'm not saying I agree with the heckler, but if you're a professional athlete, someone saying "you suck" is probably the most common insult you'll hear. For that to get her emotional, something is seriously wrong. You don't think Jimmy G has heard worse?

She won't as it's too much money at stake and she obviously enjoys being a celebrity and public figure.

This is why this is confusing to me. She clearly enjoys being in the spotlight, but she also can't be so naive to think the entire paradigm of athlete treatment by fans is going to change because of her. Heckling is part of the fan experience. That's never going away, but "You Suck" is on the absolute lowest ladder of heckling. If she can't do that one she needs to really think about if she wants to be a public figure at all. Comedians get heckled. Actors get heckled. Just because she blocks people on twitter doesn't mean she can do that in real life.

I initially agreed with the interview stance that she took, but this is a wild reaction to a fan.

Wellness and self-help culture is a dead end street. Mental health isn’t a blanket excuse/catchall for every single person not being able to handle the rigors of life and their jobs. Then all the mascots they hyped up folded and flopped in embarrassing fashion, and the narrative immediately shifted to black women being brave heroes because they admitted they were headcases. Man, GTFOH with this misapplication of legitimate social justice and mental health concerns to boost whoever you’ve decided to project your weird fantasies on. It’s fukkin sports. Everyone out there is under intense pressure. Everyone out there is asked to do physically and mentally demanding shyt the average person can’t fathom. If you can’t deal with that, find the fukkin door. You can’t be both a public figure and bemoan the accompanying attention and scrutiny. You can’t have all the glory and none of the adversity. That’s CAC shyt to me. There are black men and women who are genuinely being ground down and dumped in the societal scrap heap day in and day out. My energy and empathy is with them. Someone heckling a wealthy athlete is unfortunate, not a grand tragedy. Black people deal with worse in their 9-5s in any given day. Toughen up or step away from the mic.

Been to the US Open, French Open and the Masters Tourney in Miami..spectators say a lot more than what is picked up on TV and if the match isn’t televised than yeah, you don’t know. US Open is raucous as hell and don’t even get me started on the French..if she can’t handle light shyt like that, she needs to find another avenue for a career, she’s won enough grand slams to become a respected commentator or coach.

Richard need another movie just based on how soft Osaka is
I find it ironic that it was something that she saw happen to serena that got in HER head. Venus and Serena would sleep with all 32 teeth showing if all they had to go through was what Naomi has to deal with.
He built them to have self confidence and be tough, yeah they had their moments where they cracked but their level of pressure, their criticisms were tenfold of what she deal with. They weren't crying every other week on the court or in pressers.
