Naw real talk, I hope more of our people especially realize the kinda things @Walt said in his post cuz that shyt is real as fukk. Sometimes that kinda energy be too harsh to some and people nowadays think it’s some old head “back in my day” type shyt or ideas of a bygone era but off the no bullshyt if you grew up in the Black community then you take pride in being strong. All this willingly being weak shyt is weird as fukk and counterintuitive to the survival impulses of a group whose typically been in danger.
Like, if you got shyt goin on that’s one thing and real ones/loved ones will support you so long as you have enough pride to support yourself. God bless the child that can hold they own. So these open invitations to be a whole victim is fukk shyt imo. It goes hand in hand with the whole combining of multiple minority group names like Cub Scout badges to somehow come off even more enlightened and beyond reproach than the average high horse riding neo puritanical douchebag. Sounding like a whole Wokémon like shyt with the extra titles and wild pronouns. Like fr, picture a Black, Gay, Jewish, obese man telling me about oppression in a snooty cafe while everyday Black people be walkin by sometimes in very fukked up conditions? To me, it’s all a part of a wider issue which is willingly surrendering your agency to stand up for yourself while zealously begging for abnormal levels of acceptance.
