She was technically on that tip before Cordae though. In her early winning days, she always appreciate her black side and let it be known to ignorant reporters. Like a poster said, once she beat Serena, it was like a shadow over her focus. Like how can she continue to push for victory when the pressure of that moment keeps her below the lap?

To some degree yes, but after Cordae she actually made public statements saying she was going to force herself to be more outspoken. Being proud of yourself is one thing and trying to improve society impactfully is another entirely

People also have to remember each win = money and a loss means less. It's not a guaranteed salary

I'd like to see some of you try to serve down 30-40 at 4-5 with 500k on the line after double faulting, for instance. :usure:

She needs to learn from this bowling breh on how to shyt on hecklers...

Fans would never do that shyt to the WIlliams jawns, them cacs know better:camby:

There’s no way you get to her level.. 1% of the 1% being soft.. just stahp it.

People wanna say women are too masculine but when one shows a soft/feminine side of them it’s “she’s soft”
Being feminine is not crying whenever someone upsets you. That is what children do. She literally broken down crying because Serena was upset that Naomi beat her. She has had break downs at least 5+ time. That shows she is not mental well.

If that's the case, Osaka needs to bush that tinfoil album selling herb:camby:. One thing to speak motivation on her stance, and another where you are fukking with the money.

She grew up in Japan, a different culture. Americans' sports culture is knives sharpening knives. I understand why she is constantly breaking down.

Cats are judging her even though most of you have never competed at anything at a high level.

She needs to take a break and not return until she gets good counselling or maybe change careers.
Her family moved to NY when she was 3 and she grew up and trained here

It was more than that with the Serena incident.

Serena was making a huge spectacle over a disagreement with a lines judge/umpire that lasted entirely too long and pretty much ruined the moment of Naomi winning her first major against the best player of all time. Serena was more of a child in that situation than Naomi because she was getting wrecked and was deflecting to the umpire

Serena got heckled at this same venue, won, then cried for TWO HOURS after winning instead of celebrating.

Then avoided the venue for like eight years.

I think we’re discounting the fact that people go through things, and fairly so, and perhaps the Williams sisters had a person who was willing to step out there and take the brunt of their criticism for them until they were older.
Serena is one of the people who made her cry lol

She did not grow up in Japan, hasn't lived there since she was 3. She was brought up in NY and FL.

Your opponent being mad they lost is a reason to break down in sports now? If anything you want them to feel some sort of way.

Osaka already had the match in the bag. A player knows early when it's over. Its exciting to win a huge tournament and I can only imagine it would have been dream come true that she do it against one of her idols and the consensus greatest and then it was overshadowed by controversy. That's a huge downer. That's my point in regards to that. The context lends to it being more than competition because the competition was already decided
