:jbhmm:

this might need to go to the film room, but I'll gauge y'all...

... I'm not a huge movie buff, but I was just having trouble thinking of a sizeable list of strong, black male roles who were a lead in a film and depicted as a leader of his family and/or community and not fatally flawed...

...try to refrain from the depictions of actual people in biopics and such...

Most recent one I could think of was Ice Cube in the last Barbershop Movie.

Name some others tho...

Go.

I get why you say that but frankly those kind of roles for black men are so few and far in between that I think it's worth listing the non-fiction ones as well.

true... and that's the point... I'm really trying to see what's out there man... because I was legit struggling in my attempt to name five off the top of my head.
