it wasnt originally filmed in widescreen, but the producers projected it onto widescreen against the directors wishes. thats why the blu-ray isnt in widescreen

I know he came before Indiana jones and they cited the original character as an influence but i had heard they only deliberately tried to mimic and spoof raiders when they made the 85 king solomons mines
