Both Foley 2000 matches
Backlash 2000
Last man Standing vs. Jericho
No Way Out 2001 vs. Austin
Tag Match vs. Jericho and Benoit
SummerSlam 2002 vs. HBK
Last Raw of 2003 vs. HBK
WrestleMania XX Triple Threat
Both Undertaker WrestleMania matches

Let's not do this
Even with the overbooked finish, the iron man match vs Benoit on raw in 2004 was great.

The elimination chamber at the survivor series in 2002.

The elimination chamber match at new years revolution 2005.

Night of champions 2008 vs Cena.

The WMX7 match vs taker that everyone forgets was great too.

Haven’t seen it in ages but last man standing vs Flair at the survivor series in 2005 was a really good one at the time.

He was excellent in the 2006 Royal Rumble match

WM30 vs :bryan:to open the show which might have been match of the night.

Hell in a cell vs Batista at vengeance 2005

His list of great matches is legit.

PostPED HHH had a really bad rut tho. So, I can understand the narrative.

What did it was the badly booked matches the first 5 months of 2003 and then the groin tear in the summer. He basically didn’t move right at all for a good 5-6 months. Not until the end of December and maybe the Royal Rumble 2004.

The ladder match he had with Rock at Summerslam 98 is legitimately in my top 10 favorite matches of all time. Mostly due to me considering it the Rock's "I'm Him" announcement, but HHH was a major part of that match, and so he deserves credit.

Sans that, H's work in 2000-2001 was top tier and frankly, he's honestly become underrated because of how loud the "overrated" sentiments are on this board and every where else.

If Peacock wasn't such shyt at allowing folks to do playlists, I would make a compilation of this list just to binge to see for myself.

Checking these jawns out tho.

The continual HHHate narrative has been run into the ground for the past 20 something years.

Apart of becoming an adult has been me realizing I hated triple h because I was supposed to. Great villain. Demonized my childhood.

A lot of the kids this Gen will have the same revelation about Roman when he’s moved on from wrestling and they’re 25+

Triple H's "reign of terror" is overblown bullshyt and always was. I WANTED Booker T to beat him at WMXIX and the story they told :mjpls: should have allowed that to happen but WWE is a racist company so u know how that goes.

But once you get past Booker T.. here's the list of people Triple H fought in this "reign of terror"

Kane
Scott Steiner (past his prime)
RVD (always a fukk up)
Kevin Nash
Goldberg

Like, who was really clamoring for any of these people to be champion on the RAW brand? :mjlol:

I've had people tell me RVD should have been champion but my counter to that is two things.

1. RVD was at his peak in popularity in 2001 during the Invasion angle. They never allowed him to go over there. He was in a triple threat with Austin and Angle and he took the pin. He was clearly the most over person in that match too. Not even revisionist history. Go back and watch. If RVD should have been champion, why not do it in 2001? Why is it Triple H's fault?

2. RVD couldn't get out of his own way. In 2006 he starts to heat up again with the much anticipated return of the ECW brand. He gets a second lease on a potential main event run. He goes over Cena. He's a double champion holding both the WWE and ECW title at the same time. So what does he do with it? He squanders it by riding around with Sabu with weed and pills in the car. WWE was a corporate brand by this point. The situation made the news. He fukked over his own run before it even got started. Again, not Triple H's fault.
