To be fair, Americans don't like bad guys winning so like 99% of fiction has the good guy winning in the end. Foreign films and indie films most likely have more endings where the good guy loses.

Actually you have to look at movies from the 60s and 70s. They were more likely to have twists and turns with the bad people winning or a non happy ending.
Americans now really don't want them type of endings. Same with tv shows with messages. That shyt is basically a no go now a days compared to the past.
