New season sucked compared to the first seasons and I doubt it will ever get to that greatness again.

Writing was still on point, just tough creating the same dynamic without everyone being unknowns with no busy schedule. I think the fourth season gets a bad rep in a lot of circles because of that. But the writing was just as sharp

Not cancelled and the show lasted 7 or 8 seasons BUT..Aaron Sorkin's version of The West Wing lasted about 4-5 years..way too early and he was, in effect, cancelled by NBC

Yeah I feel that...nice Rashmon tribute but it's tough to do that show, that particular show, in that style. It's great that everyone became big enough stars but kinda sucked for the show.

The right wing Christians protested that Fox not give it a second season (for obvious reasons) and that looks to be the case. No news on Season 2 has been confirmed and all signs point to it not being renewed.

Some cable channel needs to pick that up. Really enjoyed it. I think second-run episodes were airing on NatGeo.
