:mjcry:When they cancelled that shyt I flipped out. First season was really good. That exorcism scene.
That show was ahead of its time

I bet with the success of American Horror Story,Penny Dreadful,Salem if it came out today and got tge same rating ABC would give it a chance

Back then if a show wasn't doing LOST numbers it had no chance of surviving

Watch AHS go and steal their idea and do a season about Americans travelling to the Amazon or something like that.

Most of those shows had decent ratings, some of them even had good ratings

ABC was just on some bullshyt back then and cancelled anything that wasn't an instant smash hit

Ehhh the river though? It was mild at best ratings wise but the thing to always take into account with ratings is the expense of the show breh. The more expensive the show, the higher the ratings need to be. It's why certain shows can last a while even with average ratings in comparison because they don't cost much to produce and even some shows, like the awesome Chuck, will cut their budget in order to sustain the show and its ratings.

Pushing Daisies is a good example of a show with OK ratings but it wasn't making enough money to justify the costs and it wasn't the type of show that could cut its budget. Zachary Levi just spoke about that on his podcast as a matter of fact.

I heard Carnivale was a great show too. HBO let a few good ones go.
Yup

Deadwood,Rome, and Carnivale shouldve never been cancelled

Or atleast some other network should've picked them up

Its crazy how they used to just toss quality shows like these in he bushes woth no second thought

I wish there was a Netflix around to save these shows back then

Law and Order Los Angeles

Yes there was an LA version, lasted only one season :sadcam:

It was basically Law & Order the Latino version, because it had way too many Latino crime stories.

It had Peter Russo as one of the Detectives.

Terrence "Mayne" Howard as one of the lawyers.

It was never given a chance, I bet LA had some great crime stories to tell.
