Yeah Courtney was super on code. When I saw them coming at her I felt empathy to how some sisters feel about us some times. One black woman vs a legion of sambos
.
kaye was making sense about learning history but Anton talking those same “it’s holding you back” shyt the Republican dark money think tanks say. There’s so many lessons and valiance in diasporan black history you could write a 3rd testament on it(there should be one because some of the Africans who were converted were converted because of REVELATIONS and DREAMS/VISIONS they had). It’s not all getting whipped or MLK turn the other cheek shyt. For instance.. if you told your daughter that it was a woman who instructed Dessalines in military arts, would that not make her want to aspire to be a teacher or a combat expert in some way? We don’t see divinity in our own shyt because there’s no museums with paintings of Denmark Vesey or Katherine Johnson being serenaded by Seraphim like there is with other cultures. Black History actually instilled pride in me, a lot of these nikkas are just ignorant and don’t read any literature.
like I said in other threads.. would you tell a Cuban to let go of Cuba/Castro?
would you tell a southerner to let go of the confederate flag?
Would you tell the Chinese to let go of the Rape of Nanking?
Japanese of the atomic bomb?(they made so much art from that trauma that it’s ingrained in their culture)
Would you tell Koreans to let go of that post colonial anguish they bottle up inside that is probably killing them?
so why is it that black history the only thing that holds a group back? The other groups are eating and they wear their shyt like a cape
