Yep. Once someone starts believing that mess, there's nothing that you can really do. Maybe MAYBE cut the cord on their internet. But OP said she ain't just getting it from the internet. She getting it from family too.

The difference is the NYT or any other "authoritative" source can get sued for publishing false information. And if they do, they have to make corrections. So you can generally rely on NYT or other authoritives to do, at minimum, a certain level of due diligence, before they make any type of assertion.

Yeah I'm really starting to think "free speech" is a curse. But the other side of that coin isn't good either because who then controls the speech? I've just taken the approach of just avoiding all that dumb shyt altogether and enjoying life the best way I know how.

It's funny how people down these rabbit holes use words like sheep and drones to describe the uninitiated but yet they uncritically repeat, word for word, the bullshyt out of some youtube charlatans mouth like it was the gospel. Had a friend who was on the flat earth/haarp/5g wave that I had to cut off. It was so strange hearing him talk but it was literally someone else's words spilling out of his mouth. Too much time on one's hands, too little actual judgment and discernment of good information from bad and an overwhelming volume of information via the internet leads to these sad thought bubbles where everyone is either a sheep or a shill, but you, guy never finished high school or hasn't read anything more difficult than an 8th grade Accelerated Reader story, has found the unvarnished truth. I pray to the Lord everyday to give me the confidence of the stupid and the gleefully ignorant.

Will deciding to have their future kids get vaccinated be just a difference of opinion?
Or god forbid she or another loved one gets a tumor, Thier difference of opinion will be the deciding factor on whether or not they see an oncologist or buy more oregano.
