Rae wanted to make a RZA diss track after RZA bashed him in interviews, but Rae had too much respect for the clan.

More indication book has lies. I've followed Wu since their inception. I don't recall RZA dissing Rae in interviews. If someone recalls this and has proof, please post it.

Rae was free to work with other producers his entire career after OBFCL, and we ended up with the likes of Immobilarity, Lex Diamond and Fila.
:francis:

While I do feel like he's one of the best MC's ever and doesn't get mentioned enough in those discussions, his albums rarely if ever live up to it.

Facts. Even more so now with the resurgence of goon rap and all kinds of quality producers out there. Damn near everyone is doing these one mc one producer albums now, which is dope, so why can't an MC of Rae's stature put out such an album? Nas just dropped his third high quality project with Hit-Boy, Alchemist and Muggs are doing albums with everyone, Roc Marciano doing beats for Bronze Nazareth, you got Futurewave, Dirty Diggs, Sadhugold, Camouflauge Monk, Havoc...the list goes on and on

I agree with the watering down of the Wu flag. Been saying so for years. But it's not only Rza's fault : groups like Ice Water were de facto affiliates since they were associated with Raekwon. And they didn't really bring that much to the table themselves:francis:

I think he means the rza directly calling Rae immature, stop with the drug crime raps, its corny, grow up. There was tension between Rae and rza.. Rae and Ghost. As you know.

I don't recall RZA calling him out in any interview about that. Please post a link if you have one. RZA usually praises them highly in interviews regardless of how negative they talk about him.

Some lying going on. Rae said Power stole from him on the IceWater deal? In the Vlad interview he EMPHATICALLY said Power never robbed him.

I thought he was taking responsibility for not being on top of his business.

That's cool but if he says in the book that Power "stole" from him like @Barney Rubble is saying then that conflicts with him saying Power NEVER stole from him in the Vlad interview. Which one is it?

there is a lot of surprising shyt in that book. From Ghostface's associate shooting U God's son, the wutang relationships within the group(Ugod being closes to Rae and Gza/Masta Killa), Wu beefing over spots on Enter the 36, and Nas spitting multiple verses for "verbal intercourse"... Everything is so detailed that it doesn't sounds like lies(unlike Prodigy's book of fiction". Great book. This book and U-God's makes me anticipate more Wu book releases. The funniest thing was him talking about how no one fukked with Ghost back in the day because he was known for robbing, stabbing, and shooting up shyt just to be a trouble maker :russ:

Cool.

RZA usually bigs up Rae and the gangsta shyt. He has whole sections in his books praising Rae gangsta shyt.
I know.. But there was an interview where the abbot was vocal about maturing, leave that old shyt alone, you can't keep speaking about that life when you are a celebrity, have fans from all ages etc. This was definitely between 2006 or 7 to 2011. When the rza was getting bullshyt from everybody. It was defo after ODB death. But he never shyttd on the chef like harsh. Just told him to be mature.

He said Power was spending Rae's personal money, that was meant for Icewater, on outside shyt and hiding it from Rae. Rae confronted him and Power acted nonchalantly like it was no big deal. Rae said after that Power would disappear and do other shyt and wasn't focused on their management company. Rae said he still has love for him but doesn't love him with a capital L anymore, and they parted ways.

I REFUSE to believe that the MC’s featured on Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang were taking a stance against RZA. That album featured GZA and Meth and neither one of them have EVER said a word against RZA plus GZA and RZA are family.

The album was heat rocks though.
The impression I got, just my opinion, is Rae doesn't really fukk with Meth cuz Meth sides with RZA. Surprisingly, Rae made it sound like GZA doesn't like the direction RZA took the clan. Rae said him and RZA had big arguments on the phone over Shaolin vs Wu-Tang and RZA was screaming sayin he was more Shaolin than Raekwon. I know Meth is on that album, but Rae specifically said the members on their don't agree with RZA and listed them all, but didn't list Meth for some reason.
