My Soccer/Football brehs, why are there so many French-born/foreign-born African players?

Thanks for the explanation and I see what you are saying but Zaha, Moses and Iwobi all weren't born in England. While Zouma, Pogba, Kante, Matuidi, Conman, Mendy, Sissoko, Bakayoko and Dembélé were all born to Africans parents in France, made it through the French system and into the national team.

I think the difference can be explained through culture. The English FA only want English or half caste players representing England, since England doesn't rely on its former colonies economic, political and military success while France does. The French see Africans as subordinates to the "greater" French success.

I said African born players which those 3 are.

I think you're giving the FA a bit too much credit. It's run by a bunch of idiots with them employing another bunch of idiots.

While the Football team don't take advantage of the old colonies, best believe sports like Rugby, Cricket, Athletics and cycling they do. Rugby and Cricket use South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, also the Rugby is targeting the Pacific Islanders as well. And the Athletics have been targeting the smaller Caribbean islands for talent.

he almost pulled this off yesterday

would have topped last season's scorpion kick.

His technique and body control has been on god tier levels for the past few years. His left foot half volley for France was crazy too.

I've never seen someone score more goals running towards a cross at the near post and using either the inside or outside of his foot to guide the ball in.

Don't know why he doesn't score more.

he lacks consistency. he's one of those players that are better in the short burst nature of international football vs the long grind of a club season. that's what separates the elite from the very good. those long droughts don't happen for them.

if someone put together a complete highlight of his technically excellent goals and those passes around the box where he sets up goals, you would swear he's one of the greatest strikers ever. but arsenal fans know better.

oh and he's rarely injured.

p.s. even in that scorpion kick goal my favorite part was how he opened up that counter with the backheel flick.

I'm an Arsenal fan, I know hoe frustrating he can be lol.

I've always thought he'd be a better 2nd/backup striker than a #1 option.

He's an under-qualified #1 and a slightly overqualified #2

Can someone explain why we NEVER see African born English players make the national team or do well in club football? It's like they only allow half caste to play. Where are the Ghanian-British, Nigerian British or Kenyan British in club football or the national team? It's the opposite in France. Hmmmmmm

With England it's the other way round, we get the African born players who grew up in England and
gone thru the academies of the clubs to play for England at youth level and then for various reasons, end up playing for the country of their birth.

Zaha did play for England twice, but between his inconsistent form and incompetent nature of England's selection process. He decided to play for Ivory Coast.

Victor Moses would of played for England, as he was one of England's best players at youth level but once again incompetent selection process.

Iwobi, I would say his situation is a tad different, because his Uncle is a Nigeria god, so while he played for England at youth level, his lineage and destiny was to play for Nigeria.

I will say this tho, while Moses and Zara both shined at youth levels for England, it took them a while to find consistency in their game playing at club level, especially when they were playing week in, week out for smaller teams.

Yannick Bolasie who is London as fukk, was born in France and plays for DRC, the land of his parents.

Are you saying they SHOULD play for England? :scust:

Those fellas are smart.

What I want to know is how black people are over represented in France fencing teams men and women. Over 50% in one of the whitest sport. Are these black bourgeois?
