fukk primerica. :pacspit:

Those fukkers contacted me and I thought I had a legit interview. Got my résumé all together. Got me a nice interview outfit. Drove 45 minutes to some huge office building. Got to the directory of the building and it said the suite I was heading to was primerica:beli:

I didn't even get on the elevator. Called the recruiter lady back and cussed her the fukk out. Wasted time and money on that bulshyt :pacspit:

That shyt made me angry just reading it.

It's a waste of time and money for almost everyone.

but not everyone....:usure:

you have to have a certain type on mindset for it....and the majority of people dont....

which is fine....its a big world

but i laugh when people in here try to dismiss it out of hand when i personally know people who are doing very well at it....

It's not about a "mindset" that's that crap they feed you. It's more about logistics. You need to not only have a large customer base, but you also need a large network of people with their own customer bases to work under you. Regardless of a mindset, most people aren't in this position. And if your gonna put in the time/effort it takes to place yourself in this situation, you'd be better off making money elsewhere.

And it's beneficial for those people you know to exaggerate their success, unless you can see their financial statements, I wouldn't take their word as truth if I were you.

A little known fact about primerica is that the district managers and other people you see making huge money, are usualy not people who started up just like you. They are people with sales and marketing backrounds that were hired to recruit people like you.

but ignore the obvious and look at how nice his office is, he's gotta be making tons of money.

:troll:

Somebody ask him who is that old white man in the picture behind him in "his" conference room lmao,

My uncle is in Primerica & he's made a good living off of it over the years. He hasn't tried to push any of us to join, but he has left clients hanging that my mom put him on to. Yeah, they sell life insurance but they sell few products compared to the bigger insurance companies like Mutual of Omaha, MassMutual, New York Life, etc.

I know for a fact the people making money do so by taking advantage of gullible people NOT selling product.

I know the product for sale is just a front for the pyramid scheme.

I know the average person is wasting their time even talking to those people.

Long story, apologies in advance brehs. Meant to post in this thread earlier as the timing was perfect.

So on Saturday I was getting my winter rims/tires swapped out. The shop is behind this plaza. So I'm chilling outside the garage enjoying the weather, when I see groups of late teens/early 20s males/females of all kinds pulling into the plaza. Like 4-5 in a car. At first I thought it was some sort of car meet, as there were a few BMWs parked out front.. then later a C63 pulled in. So because the parking lot was filling up, people kept coming up to me asking if they could park on the side. I just gave them the :yeshrug: but was curious what was going on. So I asked this one girl and she's like "it's a meeting for young people.. you should come." Couldn't be any more vague than that. So my car is done and I'm pulling out. These 3 girls were walking toward my whip and I stopped and asked what was going on. Without even hesitation 2 of them are halfway inside my window saying "oh, you need to come!" "it's an amazing presentation!" "what are you doing right now? park your car and come with us!" I'm like ":heh:..tell me what it is first?" They don't. I keep prodding but eventually the one girl is like "It's a business thing. LIMA (never heard of it), I made $2,000.00 last week!" - I already knew from the girl before what it could be but at this point I'm like "ohhhhhhhhh, it's a pyramid scam" - their faces were priceless. Still urged me to come. Girl was takling about it being "fate" and shyt, lol. Gave a fake number to text me the info and bounced :dead:

Sad part is some of these kids have no idea, and even worse that these things gear you toward going at all your close fam/friends first.

So my question is, wtf is LIMA anyway? :pachaha:

I remember getting sucked into going to one of those presentations years ago. It was called Summit Club here in Toronto. They make you buy a "membership" that gives you all sorts of "discounts" to dealerships and other crap. You buy them in bronze/silver/gold packages. Then whatever you con your family/friends into buying, you get a cut, but ONLY after you sell your first 3 memberships. The first 3 sales go to the guy who brought you in. Rinse and repeat. Such nonsense.

They got everyone's attention by parking Lambos and Ferraris outside (and now I'm sure the C63 and other euro whips were a front on Saturday.) Then they corner you when you are there. I had 3 dudes trying to convince me as I kept countering everything the first guy said, then the second guy. Trying to make me feel guilty by saying that my friend "paid" for my seat. My buddy was right there and said nothing. I just let them talk and said "nope, thanks!" - the tough part was looking around the conference room and seeing people had brought their innocent/gullible grandparents with them, who obviously don't know any better, and just want to help out their grandkids.

i lost a few friends to that summit club bullshyt here in toronto :heh:

They're always talking about, "What, you scared of money :what:" . They lie at the drop of a hat, too. Read this book on persuasion, once you invest yourself in something, even if you see it's a scam, you'll not want to admit the loss and walk away. Certain people have "in for a penny.." syndrome. It's a great selling technique, about on par with "up to" used by car salesmen and other types (a person tells you their maximum and you respond with that, automatically getting them to pay more than what they intended.) I can know for a fact that a person got something from another person or via some other means but see them on FB/Twitter bragging about how good *insert scam* has been to them. :beli:

:what: The only way you'll make any worthwhile money is by signing people up. If you just want to sell insurance you could make plenty more commission working elsewhere. Primerica makes money off of all the fees associated with starting up so wether you sale product or not they're still making money of off you and all the people you recruit. You won't make any money unless the people you recruit sell a lot of product. Working for primerica it's more lucrative to spend time recruiting and convince others to sell product, than it is to sell product yourself. Which is why people seem more concerned with promoting the dream than the actual products.

As I said the "product" is just there so it won't be called a "pyramid scheme" but it is in fact a pyramid scheme or MLM if you wanna use a less nasty word. The person at the top invests, and convinces those under him to invest and he gets a cut of the money.

this is true...because its not for everybody? but what in life is for 'everybody'?
They got you good breh. Make you feel like its something special and your part of an elite group if you can do it, while others are unworthy.

:wow:

To answer your question. EVERYBODY can make money working at MCdonalds. EVERYBODY can't make money with primerica it wouldn't work if everyone did.

Same thing almost happened to me....This bad lightskinned jank hit me up on POF so I was like :shaq: and we started talking. After a few exchanged messages she was like I can help you. So I was like :takedat: and :patrice: at the same time. So I was like how? She said I can get you paid. :gladbron: word? What I gotta do? She said I just had to buy a vanilla refund card and put $200 on it and she can access the system and add a 0 and turn it into $2000. :dwillhuh: sounds too good to be true. So she sent me pics of bank statements, her working on her computer with the program up, and a receipt with a huge amount on. Than she gave me her boss' number and was like give him a call. :ld:ok I'll hear him out. Basically he broke it down to me what happens during the whole process. Then he said call me back when you're in the store and I'll be on the phone the whole time and fix the amount while you're on the phone and you'll be good. Immediately I'm like :stopitslime: this don't sound right. So I went back on POF and asked the chick if she could front the $200 for me and I'll give her double back.....immediately she came with the excuses. "Thats not my job." "Thats like giving you $2000." "My boss won't allow me to do that." So now I'm like :comeon: I knew it. So basically from there on I just kept calling the dude like every day for like a week playing around acting like I'm retarded. :jawalrus: they won't get me

:whew:

Damn breh they scheming.
Blsck folks hate reading so I know a lot of em been scammed.
