I'm hoping we can make a trade to the Cavs for some salary matching and a pick so Melo could be part of a winning team and play the backseat.:mjcry:

That would be a great scenario for both parties.

Clips... Hmm... They just hired Garnett as a team consultant... I don't know if that's happening.:lolbron:

:philjacksonlol:This nikka, man. Breh, Clippers is the best case scenario. Since Blake is an expiring contract. I don't want us to get back some big ass contract. I wouldn't mind having that nikka Blake on the Knicks but it seems like he's always injured but I love his game.

if melo were to get traded, clippers are the only realistic destination that makes sense
its the worth the risk for them because their core has been stagnant, and they need a new SF
Cavs aint giving up kevin love or anyone of value off their championship team for melo

You've been trying to compete the last few years, how has that turned out for you? On the flipside, the Sixers have been tanking and are clearly about to turn the corner, the last time they made the playoffs was 2012, the last time the Knicks made it was 2013.

The Knicks already have the cornerstone of their franchise, which is what the Sixers were trying to find. You just need to find the second piece to put with Kristaps, the Knicks need to miss the playoffs this year and get one of those PGs to make sure that they do not sign Rose long term.

Yeah I don't get how some Knick fans don't get this.

They must be young because if they remember the run the Knicks went on in the 90's simply competing for a playoff spot isn't something that should excite them

Also find it funny how they are vehemently against what the Sixers are doing because they've been "bad for so long" when they last made the playoffs around the same time

The Knicks have won one playoff series in almost 20 years you'd think by now you'd want to go in a different direction then do whatever it takes every year to be a playoff team

Breh...

It's the intentional sabotage of seasons not the fact that "they've been bad so long."

Please pay attention.

Inept and dumb management is a part of the system some people understand you have to live with at times.

The intentionally putting out an uncompetitive roster for numerous years is the issue.

There has been arguments back and forth...But atleast get the stances correct. Then criticize. :francis:

Wizards? Why?

They have Otto Porter who is playing extremely and is one of the main catalyst in turning their year around.

Melo has no interest in playing in the D.C./Baltimore area and he's never hinted on it even though he was partly raised there. NY is best for his lifestyle and branding.

Only team that makes sense is the Clippers.

The Wiz need scoring off the bench and they have Oubre who is younger and potentially better than Porter. Its not crazy, especially when you consider them getting their season together could just be due to ease of schedule (for real look it up, we beat most of the same teams so far as well). Anyhow it was a off-season suggestion.

At this point I don't think we'd trade with yall.. because if we're going to trade any 3 of gordon, ariza, anderson, capella.. it can't be for an aging volume jump shooter who doesn't really play defense, needs to hold the ball/ iso /shoot long 2s on offense... and probably hates our coach as much as our coach hates him lol

Melo HATES D'antoni, half the reason I think Harden styles on us so much is because D'antoni asks him too. He would be a upgrade I think to Anderson if he focused on catch and shoot opportunities.

Sometimes you got to know when to take a step back to make a leap forward. Between the new CBA, and already having a franchise player on staff..... it's the right move to build towards the future. To put shyt into perspective we were as fukked as the Nyets a few years ago. We can turn this ship around relatively quickly if we do the hard stuff now.

Agreed. And yea if the trade was just Melo for Ryan Anderson straight up, then no question lol. But i figure 2 of those other 3 guys would be needed (Capella, Gordon, Ariza) either for salaries to match or just general principle from Phil's/Dolan's perspective. At which point that's asking a lot for what Melo is these days.

Plus those guys outside of Capella are probably too old for what you guys would want to be long term.

Agreed, moving Melo means the knicks are going young, and with KP as the future PF it doesn't make sense to trade for more PF unless it was a 3 team trade.

When they hired Hornacek I happy that it wasn't a Phil lackey but it's clear that he hired him because he knew he would be willing to be a puppet. The team doesn't respect him. Team is a disaster

The team sucks because the roster sucks. Them chirping about defensive schemes like it means anything is comical.

J.Crawford, P.Pierce, and Reddikk,2021 pick for Melo. Reddikk is on the last year of his deal and the other two will likely retire before the end of their respective deals. Plus the Clips will likely be trash by the time 2021 rolls around.
