No, he doesn't.

Please list all the current stars that needed some aging star around them to show them how it's done. Porzingis needs the freedom to do what he wants on the court like Embiid, KAT or Jokic, he's going to lag behind those guys because he always has to play second fiddle to some dude iso-ing away the shot clock. What Porzingis needs is one of those PGs in the draft that will live through using a pick and passes, like Smith or Ball. He needs another young player to grow with like Giannis has with Jabari, or Steph had with Klay.

Instead, they are going to waste some of his years like the Pelicans have done with Davis by trying to compete when the goal should be acquiring young talent.

You're right that KP needs another young player to grow with. I completely agree and I've been saying that myself . But since you asked which young star needs an "aging" star around. It's not a fair question because there's no young star that has an aging star to mentor them.

Giannis- While he does not have an active player, but Kidd is definitely a mentor not to far removed from the game.
Towns- Great player, definitely one of the best, but his game is erratic, has no discipline on the court, shoots too many 3's. My favorite young player
Embid- Another one like Towns, definitely could use a mentor aging player to help him out
AD- Great player, all stats with no results (still one of my fav), people throw shade at love by saying he was a stat padder, but he was always a game or two away from the playoffs in a much tougher era in the West
Wiggins- No different than towns.
Butler- Definitely stepped his game up since Wade came around
Kyrie and Love- Never done shyt till Lebron got there
Kawhi- Had duncan, parker and manu mentoring him

Perhaps if players like KD had a mentors, they wouldn't be straight up Beta Bytches.

Another big thing to look at is KP did not grow up here or play college ball here as compared to others. It's a lot more difficult for a European Player to adjust, just look at countless amount of players being busts. Dirk had aging superstars on his team
