My Posse's On Broadway: Official NY Knicks 2016-2017 Season Thread

You know, I always had a problem with a lot of you running around chest beating about being a 3rd seed....in december. I felt that was an invitation to karma to come smack us in the face, and lo and behold the bytch put hands on us.
Until there's a change in ownership and management at MSG, there's just some things you can't do as a Knick fan:

You can't get too high on a "good" record early in the season. This is the Knicks. Wait til feb/march. If they are still good, THAT'S the team we have.

You can't look past ANY opponent. Like nobody. "Favorable part of the schedule"? This is the Knicks, man. Your team dead last in 3 point pct? Play the Knicks. Career journeyman like Jodie Meeks, Ish Smith or Ramon Sessions? Play the Knicks and my brotha.

You cannot feel safe with a 14 point lead unless there's about a minute and a half to play in the 4th. And giving them more than a minute to trick off a lead scares me.

Agree on all accounts. I enjoy our wins but always felt that I would be happy if we just got in the playoffs, very happy if it's at the 7th spot to avoid a Cavs sweep.
Only watched the game today and I looked at that 14pt lead I actually thought to myself "How are we gonna manage to lose this lead?"


Wasn't even mad when Giannis hit the game-winner, was the logical conclusion to the 4th.

With KP out these last few games, it may've been worthwhile to experiment starting Lee and Holiday together, with Melo at the 4.
Rose/Lee/Holiday/Melo/Noah. And once KP comes back, to do some substitutions during the game that would see a similar lineup but with KP at the 4 or 5 (when Melo or Noah goes to the bench). idk

I agree on the chest beating but it wasn't like we were running around the coli throwing that in people's faces, it was just in here being excited that we had risen in rank compared to what a lot of people were saying early in the season.

That part about playing the Knicks and having a career game hurt its true as hell, I've noticed it so much over the last seasons but you ain't have to go there breh

Problem is that we won a lot of games already that if we do tank intentionally or unintentionally, we won't be getting a high draft pick. Probably somewhere around the 10-14 picks.

Of course I only saw the boxscores and the highlights of the GW by GF. On the final play, Rose could've helped, especially a the clock ran down, but overall that was solid on-the-ball defense all around on that play. Everyone was playing their man close in the paint to stop the back door, so you can't fault Noah or Melo for not helping. Even if Rose came, his man was wide open at the top of key. that was good defense, but a fukked up L. Did we really blow that huge a lead in 4th?

Yeah that play in itself wasn't that badly defended, Rose could've helped but Freak just hit a big shot, it is what it is. What's fukked up is how we got in that position to begin with. Went away from the ball movement, had a little too much IsoMelo (don't want to knock him too much though because he's the one that mostly built the lead in the 3rd and had good all-around game), way too much fouling (Bucks cut into the lead mostlt with FTs), geting outhustled, bad set-up for the last Knicks inbounds play, etc. We lost the game early in the 4th tbh, this isn't about the last play.

Yup. Unbelievable Rose got fouled twice on that play next to the ref & didn't get the call. That non call had a direct affect on the outcome of the game

In here, out there it was too much for December IMO. But I said nothing cuz I get it. We starved for success round here.

And yeah, randoms have been taking our lunch money for about a decade now. Which confuses me because no matter who the coach is, no matter who the personnel is....it always happens. shyt is bizarre.

That's assuming the refs ain't doing the job they was paid to do

But Forreal they really do, the calls that some teams get and other don't is really blatant.
