I am just hopeful that something can get done for the benefit of the KNICKS AND MELO. This team has a long way to go and somewhere I am hoping that Melo finally sees it. Waives the NTC and helps put himself in a position for a deep playoff run and also help the knicks with the flexibility to move past the "Melo" era. He is also not as important as people think he is in the development of Kristaps...really not sure why people hold on to this false narrative. Carmelo Anthony is a 1 on 1 player.
It's arguable that he isn't even the second best player on this team breh (assuming Rose can stay healthy of course).
Understandable.
Do you realize, though, that you're somehow beating this dead horse of improbability?
What assets do the Clippers have?
That's the only team willing to possibly make that move and that's not going to happen.
Who is the one who asks for the trade? Phil? Then what, it makes the chemistry irreparable and now the Knicks would be on the clock trying to trade a player who will turn toxic in the locker room.
What leverage would NY have when calling any GM? The other team's GM would know we wouldn't have a competitive table and know he'd be one of the only teams that could make it happen.
The return would be absolutely terrible as
@I.V. continues to say.
Or are you expecting Melo to be the one to bring it up? When every shot is fired at him in the media... He will protect his brand and demanding a trade from a team literally fighting their way into playoffs when the feel good story is "Knicks overcoming lottery team like expectations."
Think about it. Your whole premise is off... Completely.
I think you'll still be saying the same outlandish shyt next week though.
Bruh, you don't need some veteran teaching him how to play, who is that guy showing Giannis the ropes? Who showed LeBron or KD? Who showed any number of superstars today how to be stars, Porzingis would develop regardless
. What would be more important than Melo would be pairing KP with another young player he can actually grow with, especially now with the new CBA making it more difficult to build through free agency. I hope you realize that you're going to have to ride out Melo's contract and then build after he's done, you're just delaying the inevitable and will burn some of KP's seasons to do it.
See above.
