Great breakdown. The refs really do seem to not like the Knicks which makes no sense as this team complains far less than most of their playoff teams . Prettty sure melo gets that second tech if he was being as demonstrative as cousins was . Also vsn Phil not say everything that comes to mind ?? He's starting to drift into dantoni territory with talking too much and putting himself over , one of his benefits was suppose to he can attract players with his reputation instead he insulting some of the biggest power brokers in the league

Many thanks fam; I don't have a real explanation for why the Knicks give such an outsized FTA ratio. Sometimes they go up soft which costs them whistles and their late rotations early on built a bad reputation as well; but it really does feel like they lose the 50/50 calls way too often. Melo did get some love last night at least; if he and Rose can start getting whistles it'll be huge for these cats. I'd like for KP to start driving for contact too, especially with his shot failing him right now.

For Phil, I think it's a lose-lose with him. When he wasn't speaking to the media, they ran wild with anonymously sourced rumors. His opt out clause became major news with a "running to LA" commentary while the dude was in hiding. He finally starts speaking more and I feel like the media picked out one line from a long critique and ran with it. I actually hear a lot of compliments in the full interview, but as long as there's a potential controversy it'll be highlighted. So for Phil, and Melo also, being guys who speak their minds and go unfiltered a lot; the media will always be fishing for a chance to run with a quote. Mark this though, if the Knicks are a top 4 team in the Eastern Conference, I think they'll have a lot of opportunities in Free Agency regardless of the drama.

That's crazy right?

:ohhh:

Embiid was supposed to be labeled "rookie" years ago and was supposed to be on that list.

The 2 Knicks names were players no one was expecting much but Phil, and Hornacek, put them in a thriving situation and are top 10 in PER.

I guess there are ways to get young talent without throwing millions of your fans dollars away in years of their purchases of game tickets and memorabilia during intentional tank seasons...

But, it's cool....

Philly fans get fleeced every year, b.

Y'all got Embiid out of it, though. Till he leaves for the Lakers...

Y'all will be alright... :pachaha: You tough right?

Baby steps breh. In years past, we would've dropped a game like tonight. As long as we beat the teams we're suppose to beat, we'll be alright.

Yep, you got to be good before you can imagine being great.

Also liked this win because you could tell the Kings really wanted it because it was a national game (how many of those are they really going to get?) and the Knicks still beat them.

Fun fact: Knicks got two players in the top 10 for PER for rookies...and both guys are struggling to get minutes because of the Knicks bench depth; there is no way I'd have thought either of those comments would be true, let alone both.

Style on em Herns and Kuzzin:banderas:and they don't even get consistent minutes yet :banderas:
