Less than three hours out from the showdown with the Cavs. Potentially no Rose and it's the second night of a back to back but let's talk what needs to happen for the Knicks to win.
. Limit the TO's and attack the glass; the Cavs will turn a defensive rebound into a fast break with the quickness but the Knicks have started to look like one of the best offensive rebounding crews out lately. The guards gotta protect the rock and the bigs need to force the Cavs to stay in the paint or pay for their fast break mentality with some second chance points.
. Melo gotta D-up, Lance too...They're probably the only two that Lebron can't completely overwhelm physically (note that I said completely) and I assume Bron's gonna want to put up a big one for Maverick.
. Melo and KP have to be on the attack; make Lebron and Kevin Love work on the defensive end, don't give them any breaks to turn up offensively.
. The bench needs to outplay their opposition. The Cavs starting line-up is damn near monstar level, but their second unit isn't even close to that level and can be beaten. This is doubly important because it's a back to back, dude's are gonna need rest and it's up to the bench to allow that without sacrificing the scoreboard.
One Bold Prediction: Joakim Noah is gonna be a player to watch in this one; not just productivity wise but I could see him ready to try and get into Lebron's head. Bron is already sounding emotional over the Posse drama and Noah doesn't like dude to begin with. I wouldn't mind an old school hard foul and some jawing from Noah to set the tone...and that's about as bold as it gets considering what we've seen from dude so far, so I'm really reaching for this one with no recent history to support it; not even gonna lie.
