Hot takes three quarters in with the summer league unit playing pretty well:
. Brandon Jennings' ability to turn everything into a fast break combined with the insane angles he can complete passes at makes him a really exciting prospect. He's going to play too fast and loose at times, but in a sixth man role he's gonna thrive as long as the achilles holds up.
. Chasson Randle needs a roster spot. He can shoot from pretty much everywhere effectively and he plays smarter than most rookies.
. Ron Baker with the defense and shooting including a fast break pull-up three made an instant "poor man's Reddikk" feeling pass over me. One can only hope.
.Kylo had a nice bounce back game, though it looks like his night was cut short for the youth and Geico Caveman (Amundson).
. Plumlee is a cool goon for the end of a bench but the rate he picked up fouls in this one makes me think...still better off in the D-League; especially because of Randle and Baker looking so impressive tonight.
