Reading this thread, I see that there are many Knicks fans that HATE Melo. Come on now, where's his support? He's the only superstar (he's still a superstar) not allowed to play 1-on-1. That's what they do, let him breathe. Garden y'all have to support him. He earned that by wanting to be a Knick and playing with trash. Don't try to force KP too early. Let his time come..he's still in his 2nd year and struggles from time to time. We don't even know if he can carry a team for an entire season yet, and that'll take time.

Let's rejoice in that we're 4-1 in our past 5, with 3 new starters, 2 coming off injury, damn near an entire new bench that'l probably be different by midseason. We're coming together

Knicks fanbase are the best and worst fans in the NBA. I say this as a lifelong Knicks fan. The nerve to turn against MELO after all he's done for the franchise and sticking around throughout incompetent GM work and trash rosters.

Not to mention we see KP getting gassed a lot, he still got a ways to go. He plays so well we forget how young he is.

The few times the Garden booed Melo doing his iso shyt, I felt was warranted. Doing that shyt when you have garbage around you is warranted but he has help now. There's a time and place to dribble for ten seconds before throwing up a contested mid range jumper... And it ain't in the first half of a close game

No ones ever done that to Westbrook and hes played with a goddamn MVP, not a second year player who hasn't REALLY proven anything yet. As much as I like KP, he hasn't accomplished anywhere near what KD has.

Fans booing MELO is simply the work of the media, and all the sheep who read into it.

You can't type in "Kristaps" or "Carmelo" on google right now without there being an article about how Carmelo needs to play second fiddle and how Kristaps is the present and the future and about how Carmelo needs to play second fiddle.

They are trying to purposely create a divide (that doesn't exist because MELO loves playing with KP) just to get clicks and have a story. I already knew this was coming. I always say, Ny is a great sports town, but the media is the worst. From all branches. Which is why people don't like to come here. The city is great. The fans are great. But that NY media is something else.

They're going to try to run MELO out of town. Then when KP starts to struggle (because a part of his recent uprising is defenses not being able To load on him with the presence of Rose and MELO) because he's the focal point of the offense. They'll trash him until he leaves too. It's what it is. Media here is entitled and pretentious.

Mark my words. They're trying to run Melo out. And that would be the worst thing for KP.

This season he's been on a tear so far. But majority of his assists are drive & kick outs. But they both take at least 5 seconds off the clock before making their moves.

Had Melo not been here or was traded in the year we got KP, we'd be struggling and NY would eventually boo Porzingis as a bust considering his body would not be ready to be the target of opp team's defense.

We really don't know if Porzingis had the tools and mentality to handle being the punching bag for 82 games.

Melo's position as the veteran #1 option in the process of showing the young heir the realm is perfect right now.

I don't see why it's a necessity to immediately make Melo defer to Porzingis YET. The young protege is developing ahead of schedule and brehs are not even considering that maybe the current set up just might be why.

Im not happy with fans booing Melo and I agree with the opinion that fans are being influenced too much by the media.

The media needs to get off Carmelo's jock. Hes still 1A, Porzingis being 1B. And Porzingis has quickly decreased the size of the gap, Next year I think he'll have the crown.

Carmelo is still a nightmare for opposing coaches. You have to double him when he posts up, he can score from anywhere on the court and when hes on theres nothing you can do. He bullys and beats up other players.

Melo and Zingis are quickly becoming one of the better tandems in the league. Porzingis is doing what Amare was suppose to do.

The rest of the team needs to pick up the slack which they've been doing. Rose is rounding into where he left off last year.

Kuz needs more touches (pause), the kid can score. I also dont understand why Courtney Lee cant average 14 or 15ppg instead of under 10

Just one more thing, I think it is time to cutback Noahs minutes. Aside from his passing hes offensively incompetent.

Pretty much. Things like that are my reason for disliking Melo many times, and I just wasn't down with re-signing him...period.

It never had anything to do with him not being Lebron because I never expected him to be anything close, since I was realistic about what we were getting when the Knicks got him.

Knicks gave up a ton to get him. Have been mostly bad since the trade. He shoots a lot for a guy that isn't a great shooter. Nothing more than that to me on why the Melo era hasn't worked.
