I would love to approach the deadline with Lance and KOQ as viable pieces to trade for minor assets or one bench contributor...that'd open up space on the roster for Randle and on the floor for Willy and Kuz (I really think we need Kuz to add punch to our second unit).

Lance Thomas started slow last year too before he became our go to 6th man. Only problem is that his defense was better last year. Maybe he still hasn't caught up to game speed but his efforts on both ends of the court in these first three games are a problem.

The team shows flashes of some very good things. I think we'll flounder around like this for around 12-15 games before putting it together. If we played some defense in that first half we'd have won. We need to feature Porz more, right now it seems like he's getting his points off open threes that come his way or clean up buckets. fukk that, feed him the ball in the post, and do it often.

I agree Porzingis needs to be featured more....but the Knicks can get creative in getting him attempts in a bunch of different areas on the court.

I didn't watch the full game but the parts I did watch...I just don't understand why the Knicks didn't push more at the end

Don't be so hard on Melo's defense. He was playing def, and Morris was hitting some BS. The problem was the blow-bys. When he started defending the post, he was really digging in. Let's not act like Ish wasn't blowing by Rose either. I know people hate the 1-on-1 game, but Melo was still cooking early. It's not even that Melo holds the ball, but that KrisP is the only one that cuts when he does. I love their 2 man game, they just have to get it clicking all over the floor. If Rose will play the penetrate kick game, it will take about 10 games for him to develop a chemistry. He missed the entire preseason.

They still have to figure out what to do with that bench. At this point, give Baker Lance's minutes. And Noah is done.
