I'll give Phil the edge over most recent GM's bc he's out and we have cap space, picks and youth on the roster which are three things none of the others preserved. Doesn't mean Phil did a good job, he kicked the can down the road but never chose a direction between win now or rebuild and the Rose rumors are enough for me to question whether he was actually committed to rebuilding. But even in this past draft, our second round pick was being conveyed from a previous regime and my big fear here is that Dolan goes with another crony and demands quick results. I saw a Joe Dumars rumor and I don't want that dude near this team. From the Melo missed draft pick on, I feel like he misstepped a ton but more importantly there's that IT connection that I'm more worried about than anything Phil could do...as long as we go Griffin or Masai or someone like that I'll be happy.

Gaines is a Phil guy. He's most likely gone too. You dudes can't see the forest for the trees man. Caught up in SAS rants. Foh.
Our best young player didn't want to play for Phil !!! He had a horrible record and HE is the one that gave a NTC then decided to shyt on melo as if that would get him to be traded as if teams wants to give assets for players that their original team is bashing and doesn't want ??? Phil did this to himself

Well I called it, the real possibility of a buyout was the straw that broke the camels back. I can understand it but I'm not happy about it at all.

I hope you guys who wanted to blame every single thing on Phil are happy now. So who y'all bout to blame now?
:gucci:We still have a lot of shyt to blame Dolan for.

Are you seriously not realizing Phil did nothing to change the terrible personality of this embarrassing organization?

With Phil, NBA players began to hate the City:martin:

We have to hope that the next President understands the importance of a rebuild and has the positive relationship with Melo that allows us to do a deal.

Amen!

If I see assets being moved for retreads I'm out on the first thing to Minnesota...I hope there's room on that bandwagon. I'll continue to be a fan of KP & Frank tho, this Knicks laundry would be to stank to continue to support.

Phil probably told Dolan let's trade or release Melo and start the rebuild and Dolan said nah let's continue to build around Melo trade the young guys for a veteran and do whatever it takes to make the playoffs next year :snoop:
Are you dumb ? Melo has a NTC he couldn't find suitable trade partners and Dolan didn't want to do a buy out . You realize melo has 2 years on his deal even if a team don't take him now they may during the season or next year when he's a huge expiring contract and get assets for him .

Old Brooklyn, word to @DPresidential
Even though I wanted Phil out this spells doom for the team if anything Dolan will have a hands on approach which means instead of building for the future they start building around melo again

Hope I'm wrong
That's what it seems like. The timing just makes too much sense. Dolan was all ":hubie:ask Phil" about everything. Even throughout the KP trading block bullshyt he had nothing to say, but the min a Melo buyout is speculated, Phil gotta go. Dude loves Melo and we all know if Dolan loves someone he's not trying to hear anything about getting rid of them.

No more triangle, no more Rambis, no more Sasha, no more overpaying for bums (maybe):krs:. Not doing as bad a job as your predecessors isn't good enough for me, and a fukk up of the last three years isnt likely to stop fukking up all of a sudden. Dolan could very well hire a worse gm, maybe he'll meddle, maybe he has learned his lesson and won't anymore, i'd rather take my chances than stick with shyt because I'm scared of moving on:yeshrug:

Like rose and Noah or. Calderon ?? :lolbron: :hhh: Nicca s acting like Phil walks on water

Nah I said 2 days ago that it's only right that Phil be fired if a buyout as the only option for Melo is imminent. I can be unbiased. I just don't think this is something to celebrate like some of y'all.

As for walking on water, that's something you definitely think Melo does.

Are you dumb? Dolan loves Melo and CAA is back to running things

Melos here till he retires and say goodbye to future first round picks

Honestly, the best move for the Knicks is a fight to sign CP3 and go for broke in 2018 for LeBron and Wade. They need to buyout Noah contract.

They could rebuild as well and join Atlanta and Chicago from the East as team's rebuilding
