Gah, shaky handles there by Frank, but I wish I coulda seen this level of defense in the NBA finals.
Lol, word.

He was overzealous on that last foul, though.

I see him getting into the same issues KP has with excessive fouling.

He jumped to early expecting the screen and his hand wrapped around dude.

Crucial foul too...

He was also tripped. It should have been a blocking foul.

Of course they take him out and now Strasbourg defense is looking Shakey...

I'm at work.. supposed to be preparing for trial... And I'm caught watching a Euro finals...:wow:
I hope you not a public defender, you gonna get someone arrested breh:mjlol:

:russ: Nah, I'm no public defender, although, I have nothing but good things to say about the legal aid/Brooklyn defender felony panel in the Brooklyn criminal court.

I actually was a prosecutor for 5 years and, considering I was aware of how broken the system was, they worked with me and trusted me enough to allow joint efforts to help the defendants out that came across my desk.:wow:

I'm currently in labor law. Opposing counsel's case starts, so, I'm chilling pretty much until his first witness begins to testify. :whew:

--------

But, yea, the only thing I saw in Ntilikina's play was his energy... Even though he was a work horse playing full court press on his man, he'd be running over to open guys to put pressure on so that tells me he doesn't give up on defense.

What was troubling was how untrustworthy his teammates placed his offensive capability... He'd be open and they'd pass him up like he was Rondo...:sadcam:

Anyway, I'm still excited to see him in summer league, though.

He has a jumper, his form is sound, he just needs to trust it.

More than anything else, he needs to get with a personal trainer that will help him become more explosive. It's entirely possible he ends up being a SG later on in his career, but for now I'd be focused on getting him quicker/stronger so that his size ( :dame:) at PG could become a major advantage in the future. You don't necessarily need to be an elite athlete to be effective at his size, Goran Dragic kills people and he ain't exactly :youngsabo:.

At his size, becoming more athletic with the same skillset would do wonders for him because he'd be able to drop his shoulder on drives more like the bigger guards do (Wall/Westbrook).

Good defense, dude never seemed to die on screens. One thing watching D.Rose is that once that screen came you knew he was either A. giving up on the play after being screened off B. Being active but still making the wrong switch and/or losing his assignment. This is one of the reasons why I will be happy to see Frank at PG, dude was fighting over them screens consistently and that will help KP in terms of rim protection.

:picard:

Could you imagine how fukking etherous that would have been if he said that a day after becoming a Knick.

There would be a fukking thread on it. YIKES.

I wish him nothing but the best but that would have felt like a gut punch icing on the cake type of L considering the week we've had. :wow:

The thing is defense is effort - and from what I've read about him, his effort level at this stage is very suspect.

Breh,

First, thanks for the proper link drop.

Secondly, YES, I noticed that, too. He definitely doesn't have a "welp, the guy has passed me so big men...it's yall defensive job now" type of mentality. I think he's really going form a serious bond w/ KP and Willy .
