He might be a more longer, athletic, version of Mike Conley. :ehh:
i dont think he's gonna be anywhere near as disciplined on his fundamentals like mike conley
im thinking a slightly less athletic left handed westbrook :francis:
thats who he patterns himself after anyways

He's shown that he can shoot. Good solid stroke, great athlete. Will be able to defend multiple positions. He can work off that jumper to get to the hoop, and he's even flashed decent vision making passes over the top.

If he can guard SF's at the next level and bulk up to switch on PF's...man...Isaac, KP, Willy would be a great young front court to develop together. But I'm expecting Isaac to end up a PF when all is said and done. The only reason, I'd probably pass on him at our range is that we really need a PG and one of the really promising ones is damn near guaranteed to be there when we pick. If Fox, Frank or Smith Jr is still there when we pick, I just think it's impossible to pass.

But it's not like the Cavs are a premiere franchise

Neither are the wizards

The Duncan sweepstakes were huge and San Antonio won

If it was set up for the big markets and flagship franchises they sure haven't executed it well
It isn't. It's set up to support the teams that are a few years of misery away from collapsing. San Antonio got Duncan right in time to get a new arena after the situation with them in the Alamodome was really souring.

I actually think there's a chance Isaac even ends up playing the 5. You can play him and KP on the court at the same time, for sure.

That being said, I definitely feel the need for a PG. And next year's class if front-court heavy again.

I mean, BPA vs Highest Ceiling vs Need is the ultimate strategy debate.

When you're a trammluje the Knicks who literally needs help almost everywhere you take bpa

Can't take for need in a sport built around stars where it's only really about your best few players and how good they are

I tend to agree. But you gotta account for fit, and unlike the NFL, you only play 5 guys at once. If your best three players are centers, you can't play them all.

Now of course, later, you could trade them, they're still an asset, but fit matters too.

That being said, I'm an Isaac fan. I'm a frank fan. I think I would eventually be excited about Fox. I would have fun watching DSJ.

-Potential preps to pros prospect Hamidou Diallo, who took a detour to Kentucky before re-emerging here, measured 6'5 in shoes with a 6'11.25 wingspan at 197 pounds. Diallo has gained some 10 pounds since last summer, a good sign for the still lean 18-year-old, and his wingspan would rank him among the longest shooting guard prospects in our database all-time whenever he opts to stay in the draft.

My mans has some connects and is telling me the Spurs are highly interested in Hami. 14 teams wanna interview him but he won't consider meeting with teams outside the top 20.

Most athletic player in the draft, top tier upside. I have a feeling I'm telling y'all he's going higher than expected. He won't be no second rounder.

I agree. I didn't mean not to pay attention to position at all when drafting. there's little reason to draft the same position as a guy you hope is the guy you're gonna build around

But with the Knicks they have needs everywhere else.

Ideally you'd love to post him with a pg to make his life easier but I'm not overdrafting the pg position. If a pg is the bpa or even a tie goes to a pg I can see but otherwise it strictly bpa

:francis: gotta just hope this is corrected before they leave the combine or they have him come in for a private workout

:jbhmm:
So mostly they looked at Centers and PG's who are projected for the second round. The one who would likely fit what they are trying to do the most is Caleb Swanigan...... who not for nothing could definitely go into the first round. The PG's they looked at are both guys I could see not being drafted but still having careers in the NBA like Baker and Plumlee. If they can come away with Swanigan in the second round of this draft that is a steal.

DraftExpress - Justin Jackson DraftExpress Profile: Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook

:patrice:
Maybe he slips into the second round but I would think he would be a mid first rounder. Can't read to much into it but I would love if the knicks got a second 1st rounder this draft and picked this kid up While Diallo has a ton of potential this kid fits in with Phils "Learner" philosophy and added to his game every year he was in college including being the main piece on a national championship team.
