I can't kill Dolan for the hire at the time. Team needed credibility and Jackson has a huge name and knows the game.

We all know he's surly but the one question was would he have the work ethic to put in work and want to do it like Riley does or was this just a money grab. Unfortunately the answer is the latter

Today was pretty alarming.he sounds like he's much more intrerested in coaching still then being an exec

Phil's a coach, not an exec. Knicks fans just thought there wasn't a huge difference between the two worlds (and y'all thought if he liked what he saw he'd coach it eventually)

Phil wouldn't mind coaching. He just doesn't wanna coach y'all and doesn't wanna do the day to day shyt that comes with coaching anymore.

phil or no phil....this organization has been a joke as soon as dolan was gifted MSG
i wish dolan cared about as much about the knicks as he does the rangers...and he'd just leave shyt alone.
he put in the least effort in the rangers and they've been a consistent playoff team for a decade
we were a disgrace...now we're an even more high profile disgrace thanks to phil
i'm sick.
i'll die with this orange and blue...but this is sickening :francis:

Riley was a coach so was Auerbach. They both turned out to be great execs. Phil just doesn't want to put the work in which is his biggest problem. Not that he doesn't know talent or the game

What's strange about this whole thing is that I don't understand why Dolan just doesn't cash out? I mean...he is sitting on a 4 billion dollar sale here. He clearly gives NO fukks anymore.

I want to believe it was the Knicks that Cowherd was talking about...what other east team is in a rush to sell? Maybe the nets?
The prestige is not about being rich.

The prestige is about having clout.

When you control the arena that celebrities want to perform at and want to be seen at during events...Even THEY become sycophants.

If he sells that... Then he's a rich boring nikka that you have to have the obligatory "hey Jimmy!" Convo with at OTHER people's events.

That plus $4billion is static. The Garden and the franchises are perpetual cash cows.

Actually Dolan cares more about the Knicks, which is why he gave Glen Sather full control and left them alone. With the Knicks he wants to be ALL in the videooooos. The Rangers are just lucky that hard cap came into play which forced Glen to get his shyt together.

In fairness to Dolan, he did leave the Knicks alone.. to Phil.

he knows talent obviously...by the players he's drafted..but he's a terrible judge of character and is mediocre at giving out contracts
dudes clearly a meddling egomaniac

thats why i said care as much....
cause he cares very little. :mjlol:
they were gonna run glen sather out at the beginning of his era...and cause dolan didnt give a fukk...sather stayed there until he got shyt together :mjlol:
if fans turn on an exec...or scrutinze any knick front office guy...dolan overreacts in one of two ways...extreme loyalty or a panic move.

New Yorkers are just glad he came up off Cablevision. Internet's been smooth ever since

When did I say it was a master plan? I said Phil being an a$$hole and trying to force Melo to leave I was ok with only if it works

people need to calm down with this KP thing. For all we know it could be media fabricated and even if it's not he cant go anywhere for years

Or maybe he's got an alcohol problem
Calm down ? Skipping exit meetings is a sign of happiness ? And liking Melos status is ? Even if got rid of melo it's short sighted
Because the Knicks were so stable before Phil Jackson came right?:childplease:
They were just losing they weren't dysfunctional

That happened years ago breh . When Phil took over the Knicks were just a bad team who's worse issue was jr untying shoes and getting suspended for 10 games .glen Grunwald and Donnie Walsh had things stable

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Amare punching a fire extinguisher and breaking his hand?
Felton pulling a gun on his wife?
Kidd getting drunk and crashing his car before the 2013 season?
Melo showing up to fight KG after a game?
The Jeremy Lin contract situation in summer 2012?

nikkas really trying to tell me with a straight face that the Knicks were a stable organization before Phil came?:russ:
