This is probably the best big-time move. But then you probably have to think about moving Melo, because they excel at the same position, and operate in many of the same areas.

You also don't HAVE to re-sign for big money. You could just as easily wait, keep filling the roster with useful role players, and see if somebody comes along the next year. I know it seems like you do, sometimes, with the FA coverage, but you don't have to spend the money the instant you have it. It is okay to bide your time.

That's definitely the point where you talk to Melo about waiving the clause and try to see what teams are looking for that one more piece to put them over.

Barring something shifting, Blake's the only guy I put the major offer on. CP3 makes sense if you really want a win now squad, but I really hope that's not the plan with what's available in the draft. Blake makes sense with KP, whereas CP3 only with Melo and after this season I think every signing should be focused on KP. I'm definitely not tryna spend that money just for the sake of adding a name though; the max is too high to throw at anyone but a long term franchise guy at this point.
