Biggest mistakes Knicks made the last 5 years was not using that amnesty on Amare & not hiring one of Tonya Harding's goons for TH Jr the last week of the 2015 season

Yep, using the amnesty on Billups' expiring contract is an error but I'm also not a big Tyson Chandler fan. Personally, I think trading a first rounder for Andrea Bargnani days before he probably woulda been released is the runaway winner of worst decision in recent history. If the Knicks had that pick, switching to a tank more quickly would have been a much more viable option. Not having their picks has left GM's with less reason to blow it up and more ammunition to want to rebuild fast which means they're liable to trade another future pick for a quick solution and the cycle continues. The fact that there are multiple options for worst decision is brutal, Joakim Noah's albatross probably slips to third or fourth worst move whereas it'd be the absolute bottom for most franchises even on a long scale.

The book is still out on whether that's a mistake or a blessing in disguise. If you ask me, KP still has the most potential out of anyone in that draft class, and he was absolutely killing it during the beginning of the season. It's not KP's fault that he's currently in the most toxic situation any young player could be in right now, and injuries caught up to him. His conditioning could be a little better I suppose, but until the Knicks are purged from it's toxicity, and they get a decent pg( doesn't have to be good, just decent) I wouldn't judge KP so harshly.

So it looks like the team is double up on its commitment to play youth as a priority.

I imagine Hornacek will still attempt to have his players play w/ effort and try to win games while our already flawed roster slowly gets dismantled.

This should be considered a collective positive for the fan base...

Should've traded him. You telling me NO team wanted Jennings? If the Knicks really wanted to waive somebody, it should've been Rose, now ain't nobody passing the rock:dead: Good for the tank though :ld:

edit:

Makes the direction of the team seem pretty clear at least. I was a bit nervous that they were gonna try another quick fix run.
