newyawkers, was steinway st black or was that a victim of gentrification also? only been to nyc twice but i remember that strip and getting heckled by some armenian/jewish/idk n idgaf teens because of my southern accent. reminded me of coming to america

never, astoria has always been 'anything goes' - the black parts are the projects i guess. mix of everything everywhere else.

the west part of steinway is all middle eastern tho, they kinda took it for themselves. the rest isn't really ethnic, just streets and streets of shops
