The post above about the large film studio in Staten Island. That's the 3rd proposed studio, I've read about in NYC coming there or already there in the last few years. Also one being proposed for the Bronx, and a relatively new one in Queens.

I notice a lot of Netflix movies or series actually seemed like they are shot in NYC, when 5 years ago it was deemed to expensive in favor of Vancouver, Toronto, or even LA for certain street shots.

Was doing alot of reading and various analyst believe that the NY real estate market bubble is going to burst. I wonder what effects would this have on the city. My best guess is that it will probably halt gentrification somewhat in the outerboros. The yuppies and hispters will once again flock back to Manhattan since the price of those multimillion dollar apartments will drops fast.

Shhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttt you're on the right track breh...but upcoming? :usure: I've been beat out by investors three times in the past three months for a place. I've all but given the hell up on the Bronx. Hell NY in general. Its pretty much gone :snoop:

Look at the asking price for this shyt breh

305 E 140th St Apt 3 A, Bronx, NY 10454 - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - realtor.com® :mindblown:

All signs point to Newark being the next wave in a couple of years anyway, especially downtown/riverfront. I'd be spending more (taking NJ transit and MTA) in the short term :francis: but if everything goes as planned I'd make out like a bandit in 10 years or so.

Hoboken is gone, Jersey City is well on its way (riverfront and downtown gone). It takes 20 mins to get to 34th street from Newark Penn Station. That Path, NJ transit gonna be like the L train.

They tried to turn the PATH/NJ Transit into an official L train extension a couple years back. Plans fell out because NJ refused to pay their part of the bill(thank god cause then MTA fares would've skyrocketed as a result).

But yeah, this whole area is done. Especially once the L train into Williamsburg shuts down and businesses there have to find another place.

I believe the one in the Bronx has opened.

Watching this right now...private school 50K across the street from the PJ's. Man I'm here tight. They coming for Brook Ave. the same variables are present.

One of my friend's dad's restaurant on Burnside almost got closed cause the landlord decided to rise the rent and dude couldn't keep up. He got lucky because he reported the dude making shady tactics. I don't know all the details but that was close. :snoop:
