I can understand not liking hipsters (I was glad to move out of a hipster enclave), but I can't understand disliking a clean and relatively safe (there is no "safety" in cities) environment.

Yes, poor people get pushed out, but that's the way things work. If you're poor, I can understand how this reality is bothersome but if you're not, then why care? If you're poor and want to live in "the old neighborhood" then you better work hard and get out of poverty. I swear, the entitlement culture in this country makes me sick. Nobody owes you a spot in this country.
