Breh it's the worst when you watching tv shows, for example I was matching Masterchef and this super cac couple, I'm talking red hair blue eyes, cook a casserole and meatloaf for dinner cac.
Chef Ramsey asks them and they talmbout 'I'm from Brooklyn, NY'
Growing up you heard a breh, or an Italian or Russian say they from Brooklyn

More like forced out. I've spoken to actual people who said their landlord took an ax to the boiler, let DOB condemn the building then gut renovate it and change 3x the original rent to cacs.
In all of these trendy/up and coming neighborhoods like bedstuy etc due to the stringent requirements I can say 80% of people moving in are white or Asian.

Anyway I drove through ENY the other day and I see a luxury-esque building. shyt floored me
ENY is next, there's planned development by the mayors office.
That's why people have to form tenant associations and hold land lords accountable. It's not a hundred percent but it's something. There are so many people who don't know about there rights as tenants and let land lords run all over them.

Not really. With NYC housing prices going up, it's going to get worse before it gets better
Don't be fooled, a lot of black people own/owned homes in Bed-Stuy and Fort Greene (more so in the stuy). Some are choosing to sell their homes and some are being priced out. Flatbush and Canarsie have strong West Indian population who own homes and have decent jobs.
On the bright side NYC has 2,228,145 black people. NYC can lose Comptons entire black population and still be at 2 million
