It ain't as serious as you made it seem.
Nah, that was a bit of hyperbole, but they really are everywhere. I stay near Franklin and the shyt is becoming unbearable. Two "general stores" that I don't know what the hell they sell. :why:

I remember a year ago I Overheard a older white couple (about 40) on atlantic talking and the man said " the cockroaches don't know they're being gentrified ang getting kicked out". First real racist thing Ive heard irl.
I never ever said this before but :wow:

Next I believe its either East New York or Flatbush. I believe East New York will be next. Not only did city administration announce incentives for developers to build, it also has that history and "edge" these cacs are looking for.

Brownsville will be the resistence there, wayyyyyyyyyyy to many projects to even think about that area.

Flatbush is on the frontlines though. Plus easy access to the 2/5, Flatbush is ripe.
But the day they wash Flatbush of its Carribbean roots is the day I wash my hands with New York. That would be completely unacceptable.

I can't picture that happening to East New York anytime soon...it's too industrial and not close enough to Manhattan

isn't it also more violent than the South Bronx nowadays?

Slightly, but really it's that particular pocket, not the North Bronx in general. Gun Hill has always had a bad reputation. (the area by Montefiore is cool though, near Tracey Towers)

The South Bronx in general still fukking sucks because of how the streets are structured and the highways. What makes other areas so easy is that the highways are out of the way and when you tear a block down it's easy to rebuild. How do you tear down and rebuild every section 8 tenement around Yankee Stadium. All these cribs you see aren't easy to sell because they're still generally isolated. It's like Parkchester. You may have an apartment that's $150K but it's surrounded by the 6 train, the Cross Bronx, the Bronx River, Popeyes and fast food spots (that's another thing, the more stores like that exist, the less the property value is worth)

Yeah I would hate to live anywhere near the Major Deegan/Cross Bronx/Bruckner. Seems like a shytty place to raise kids.
