The only way they dead Polo is if they want a new arena of some sort there.
The ones in Chelsea will be gone soon. If they can take out Chinatown, Delancey and Little Italy nobody is safe down there.

Yankees are too powerful and wont allow another arena in visual distance. you KNOW they Giants were pissed in the 1920s-30s when they Yankees just showed up across the river and started winning chips like it was nothing. Yanks barely let the fukking Mets breathe. But the land the Polo Ground is on is right by the water, has insane views, subway right below (D, B train) and accessibly to the FDR and is walking distance to Yankee Stadium and the ratchet Bronx Terminal mall.
Like I said, they will make up some BS about cracks in the concrete and will either level those buildings or reduce the number of them and retrofit them into some lux buildings.

I just don't understand white people....A client today who I gave cross streets to but not the address (Ralph & Marion St) in Bed Stuy takes it upon herself to visit the cross streets without any appointment and then replies "I don't feel safe here at all. Sorry" They want central air (its called summer) and storage units (throw out your excess stuff...) and exposed brick and stainless steel everything for $1550/month (relatively cheap nowadays) but NO black people. Unless you see actual violence in the street you're clearly just judging the area by the amount of black people and nearby projects. I just never understood that...a good portion of North Brooklyn has projects including Williamsburg and Clinton Hill so why move here at all if projects are your deal breaker?

I've been seeing THEM more in Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights...and I (hate to say this)...I just don't like it. Cause I don't like their type (usually)
They are the ones that just live there and associate with people like themselves...they don't care about integrating with the neighborhood and respecting it...they just want to change it and it's just all too obvious.
Most of them racist as fukk too...but put on a show about progressivism and liberalism to hide their hatred of people of color and living with them.

I know... they trying REAL hard now, like the developments rising in near Hillside wasnt a clear sign things changing...

I wouldn't even mind if gentrifiers moved here and spent most their free time in Manhattan like you're insinuating but they don't. Most the whites I spoke to or who were looking to be in BK don't at least. They see it as cool now for a lot of "them" to move here, eat here, chill here, build here, etc. Most their time is spent turning Brooklyn into Manhattan vs traveling back and forth.
They have a twisted view of things that they are integrating and contributing to the neighborhood. "Oh, Bed Stuy needs more local businesses? (even though we meant black) Let me contribute to the block by opening up an Organic, Fair Trade, Gluten Free Vintage Cafe that serves French pastries!" These are things they like but they do under the guise of becoming community partners. It's sick how ingrained their Columbus complex is.
