Those all sound like personal problems.

People just suffered from bad timing or bad choice in Master's program.

It's tremendously unfortunate. Then again, there are 50 states to choose from. If they were so inclined they could take that leap and create a better situation for themselves

This. I don't think many people consider moving for a career opportunity.

shyt like this is why I always laugh at bytches who talk about how educated they are. Having a degree don't mean shyt, how much is in your bank account hoe :birdman:?

Outside of when it's required by law (dr, lawyer, etc) modern degrees are worthless.

More of a product of where business and society is these days. We're in a time of middle class contraction. Business doesn't want to pay you. They'd rather pay less for someone on a visa. This is causing a devaluation of education in the eyes of our society. I sincerely hope that the consequences can be quelled. There's a lot of consequence to an uneducated society than just people not pursuing degrees. Pure result of greed.

That's not 100% true breh. The real problem is most degrees don't really teach you how to be competitive in the job market. I was an IT major and I dropped out because I realized I was learning useless shyt. What they teach in schools does not relate to what employers are looking for. That's the real problem.

I would first, without knowing them, ask if they looked at the future in earnest and two, are they really busting their asses looking for jobs? That shyt is a job in itself. I have an MBA in healthcare management. Why this degree? I looked at the bureau of labor and statistics and how the healthcare industry is one of the few things that are damn near recession proof. I live in the Chicagoland area, I'm always going to at least, have opportunity.

I'm  and :sadcam: at the same time with that

them hospitals in chicago must be banking on the voilence

soon as summer time hits they be like:lawd:" time to get that new car I wanted"

HAHAHA.

Lots of older folks too, that's the big money stuff. I work in kidney dialysis. Some patients are $3000 every time they walk through the door and they come three times a week. :noah:

I'm a believer in having a plan no matter when going through college/grad school. And some people just go to school because it's what they're supposed to do and to make themselves more attractive to companies. Basically, they'll get their degree and then throw shyt at the wall and hope it sticks.

I'm getting my MBA but I'm in a combined degree program and getting my BBA and MBA at the same time. My major is public accounting which is a 5 year 150 credit major and the combined program is the same although you have to have a fulfill certain requirements. I don't have to pay grad rates until I've completed 128 credits and the way it's looking I'll only have to pay graduate tuition for one semester and for most of the grad portion I'll be paying undergrad rates and still be receiving undergrad financial aid. So I'm saving myself tens of thousands of dollars in both tuition and debt.

Quote reminds me of "think and grow rich". Dude wasn't saying education was worthless, but, if you aren't making any money off of that knowledge, what good is it"?
