Lets stop beating around the bush. Whether you want to blame Punk or the writing or a little of both... his title reign has been a complete failure and needs to end Sunday... but it probably won't. :snoop:

Really, all they are doing by extending his title reign is making him look worse. At least if he was screwed out of the title he could be pissed off and MAYBE something good would come from it..

but feeding him to Cena or Rock in a face v. face program? :russ:

That shyt gonna be too much comedy. He may never recover.

when did this trend of feuding wrestlers fighting actual matches every week begin? I mean, you obviously have to show them interacting through promos, run-ins, impromptu beat downs, or in battle royals. But they shouldn't be in actual matches against each other if they are going to fight on ppv.

take hogan vs sting 97' for example. That match would have no hype if they had wrestled 4 times leading up to that fight.

imagine hogan vs savage if they had fought leading up to their mania match

Thats how you build superstar matches. Rock/Cena being a recent example.
They obviously didnt see Punk and Bryan as that superstar match for big box office. And they arent. Not right now anyway. Hardly anyone is right now.
Then again, this is also the same company that blew their wad on Cena vs Lesnar in the first month because Cena had to get a win back after losing to the Rock.

That opening segment made me pine for the days Triple H would open the show as champ and go on and on for 20 minutes.

How do you know what Cena "had" to do? :stopitslime:

Because thats how wrestling logic goes. If he kept continually losing hed be getting buried thus diminishing the cash cow. So yes he HAD to get the big win after a big loss. You Cena Stans are always gun ready huh?

Just seems like another example of WWE going against the fundamentals because they think they're smarter than everyone. Like how they have 'main events' start the PPVs and have the 'champion' come out first. :skip:

Crowd wouldn't want to hear that. It's a rehash of the Cena stuff and the fans DIED big time on the Cena whining despite everyone here marking out for it. And the Rock's road to success was much harder considering the competition compared to CM Punk if that's the route the promo would head so that wouldn't ride either.

no it wasnt

rock was born in to the business and was a college football star he was already known from the jump when he started. Rock had a shytty original gimmick and got plenty chances to get over

Punk came up from nothing and took every opportunity until he became the focus of the business finally last year with one amazing promo...both are good but no, rock didn't have it harder than punk

thats like saying orton had a harder struggle than Bryan

Im a big Punk fan, but i agree. It's mostly because he hasn't had a good rival to feud with, Bryan was that but they ruined it with tooooo much AJ.

At this point he needs to drop the title immediately, if not Bryan at MITB then Cena at SS, it's that bad.

He's fought everyone and nothing he can do as champ at this point is interesting, and he really didn't have a good feud his entire run, it's not all on him, but a lot of it has to be.

Jericho/Punk was the fukking worst

Of course what it LOOKS right now is probably Punk leaving ONCE AGAIN with the fukking belt and that would mean Rock and Punk facing off in some form. Punk is probably gonna say something that is gonna get heat from the crowd and he doesn't really need that right now with the spot he's built for himself.

He's probably gonna get booed after he beats Bryan MITB too. If they handle it wrong (which is bound to happen in today's WWE) he can end up getting that Sheamus post WM heat

Born in the business? True but he was into football and got injured. He was on the way with his friends from Miami U. He tried again in that CFL stuff but that went nowhere and he was broke as fukk. He had size and his family worked for Vince so he was able to get that much out of it....plenty of chances? The one where they sandbagged him with an ethnic gimmick and told him to smile and he got no mic time? Yeah..great chance. Sounds like the same chance that Kofi Kingston types get these days.

CM Punk was known for ROH activity from the get go before he ever came in the E and was met with welcome arms by the NY crowd in Hammerstein. Internet marks had been hyping him up forever.

I have no idea what Blandy has to do with Bryan. The Rock was a broke nygga at 23 and made his way when the WWE didn't really want him to be main event on the level of Austin but the fans saw differently than that and now he reigns supreme over all of his peers in history.

breh, how did punk even get to roh? working hard. My nikka was in gyms in front of 25 people cutting promos with fake mics and getting the net behind him. His career didnt start in roh, where as Rock started literally in the biggest promotion ever thanks to his family connections. Punk was in NWA, IWAMS, Japan, Mexico, TNA, ROH, he was every where doing his damn thing and cutting promos at a solid level for YEARS before he was allowed to start really cutting promos when he turned heel and grew that beard out in the E...punk was over from the jump due to his long lasting hustle where as rock, who has hall of famer blood in his family, was literally just like orton - bred from the business and built by the biggest company in the business

I don't know why y'all acting like this Raw was horrible..we have ALL seen worse...

I admit the Hornswoggle being the Anonymous GM was straight up :pacspit:

And Big Show getting DQ'd for breaking up the pin had me like :leostare:

and seeing Lawler and Cole fight again was :snoop:

but the rest of the show was alright for what it is...I actually don't mind this love triangle storyline to be honest...:yeshrug:...

and i REALLY don't understand how y'all can complain THIS much but let KEEP watching..
