This isn't going to do her in, but It's a sign that she's not ready for such a large stage....But it's definitely a sign that she's heavily influenced by the " Straight Black Men are the White People of Black People" echo chamber online.

Either she's gonna walk this all the way back, or she's gonna go full Azealia Banks and give y'all takes like this whenever she gets the chance.
She’s not gonna get pushback at all. Her fanbase on the same timing. She might get a boost.

she's gay/bi. thats what she prefers, i get the context.

ima give her the benefit of the doubt here. they clipped that up to get the exact reaction/engagement theyre getting from the triggering lgbtq crowd and hotep cavemen that have daily holy wars on socials.

now, if i see her leaning into the straight men bashing moving forward, then she's picked a side and it is what it is. :yeshrug:

maybe i'm the only one who feels this way, idk.
but i listened to her mixtape and she displayed lots of flavors. different styles, flows, voices, personalities, sides of her, braggadocious, conscious, self-confessions, etc.
She is definitely talented.

However, I don't hear a "signature sound" or a "signature persona" from her. She did way too many voices to the point where i couldn't even point her out in a track if i heard her, like when she was on Tylers album and i was wondering who it was and didn't know until i looked up his features after.

I'm not saying artists are at fault for trying a slew of different things, but I just cannot pin her or recognize "her".
So you mad because she is adaptable and doesnt fall within your parameters of familiarity.
That makes sense.... the problem is you. Maybe just let an artist be them & if you like a song cool. You have a valid point though and that is also why Im not the biggest fan of her.

Eh i think it'd do an artist better if they pinned down on a specific identifiable thing instead of trying to be everything. Not saying you shouldn't try different shyt but the path should lead you to a more unified style

I think its an early misstep that is gonna reverberate down the line

People aint playing this gender war shyt anymore.
The missteps only matter when people don't like the music. Same with Tyla. The people who don't like or are indifferent to their music are using this as an excuse to criticize them.
