I think that's the problem. We all thinking of the fairytalesThen don't get married breh. But the point of being on this planet is to work. If you're gonna run from something b/c it doesn't feel natural than you are wasting your time here. The point is to get beyond nature. Most marriages don't work b/c they have no foundation and you don't have people who are willing to work on them. Marriages should be founded on respect. I don't use marriages that lack respect as a model for me b/c I know at the end of the day there was no thought or intelligence behind that decision. Also as far as the end of a marriage that should be talked about and addressed as well. Arrangements should be made in case of that split. It all seems a pretty easy ordeal if you have standards, demand respect and set forth a game plan. But marriage should be held in a higher regard. The vast majority of people married shouldn't be.
Also I don't see an 18 year marriage endings as a fail. 1 or 5 years yeah but 18 was a good run. But then again I don't have a fairy tale idea of what marriage should be. Unless you want kids or plan to build I don't see the point.
You find that one person, you fall deep in love, you love them forever, nobody cheats, nobody leaves, you die married after 60 years of marriage. And anything less is a failure.
I got a girl that for the first time, I can honestly say I want to marry and experience that with. I can't imagine myself with anyone else. But I'm in my 30s. If I die at 80, that's 50 fukking years of being with that same person.
Tbh, I'm scared of that. I'm scared of what if I change or she changes or I meet some other woman who is my perfect match or we just fall out of love.
