I wonder if the Hawks are trying to trade Collins to make room for Big O at the 4. I know Big O said he would be working on extending his range this summer.

I'm starting to think the Hawks should just keep JC if there aren't any other trades out there rn that make sense. No need to force anything, his fit on this team is now actually a lot better since we got DJ. So far it's looking like...
Clint/Big O
JC/Big O/JJ
Hunter/Kevin/AJ
DJ/Bogi/AJ
Trae/Holiday/Cooper
All things considered, having DJ without giving up Collins should be a MAJOR upgrade in itself. Collins can now slide into that 4th option role where his lack of ball-handling/playmaking is no longer a factor as we have DJ now creating with Trae. His defense also isn't as much a factor as the Hawks will be MUCH better defending the point of attack with DJ being on the perimeter along with Hunter. Hawks still have their MLE as well they can use at some point.
Holiday is a decent defensive-minded backup pg while Sharife continues to develop. I think that MLE will probably go towards adding another big.

I’m praying this isn’t the roster on opening night b/c this roster ain’t goin anywhere. Still need a tough, defensive minded presence in the front court (preferably at the 4). I’m hopeful Schlenk and Co are working on a deal over the weekend and we can have a different conversation about the roster

Yea the Holiday Family Reunion and Harkless is at best an even swap. There’s no reason to make the trade unless you’re loading up for a bigger move
